Did not know Steam Deck was a thing. I love Steam's selection but find keyboard/computer based gaming awkward compared to console and the Steam controllers were not great. Deck bears watching.

Lol right! Just have to make sure I don’t run into a wall now with that thing on my head. Resident Evil 4 might be my first purchase

I bought RE4 way back in the GameCube days. One of the rare games that I can still play today and want to finish all the way through.

A true classic.

I think I’d take my chances in Racoon City…..F that Silent Hill noise…

During Xmas I bought WRC 10 and Madden NFL 21 (did not find the 22 here in Belgium).

I started to play more to WRC first and since few days I switched to NFL, and I need your advices, your knowledge of the real and the virtual game as well.

Started the franchise mode with the Redskins. Just playing the games without any FA/trades/etc
Went 4-12 30th overall in the league

Then I started a new career with the worst team by OVR the Miami Dolphins.
Because of my first experience with the Redskins I knew that I had to sign a good HB because I run the ball 99%. Well in fact I run the ball 100% when I have a possibility to do it. If I try to pass it. The completion % is near 0%. (I will comeback to it later)*

So I signed few FA to start the season. One of them was Devonta Freeman (ProBowler at the end of the season:cool:) 3rd MVP of the AFC. Best RB of AFC. I need to switch on my playstation because I don't remember the exact number of runs.
Went 6-10 (beating the Pats on their field on the opening day:cool:). My goal for the season was 7 W :(
Last in the division. 26th in the league. Redskins dead last in the league with 2-14 :(
Ravens won the SuperBowl against Green Bay.
I'm just before the draft before season 2.

I did not change anything in the settings so it's 6min/quarter.
The only thing I changed it's that I'm playing on pro level IIRC / and competitive games
I'm playing "ONLY OFFENSE"

And that's the part I need you :

1. When it's the trade deadline? Around week 8-9? And from which date I can trade players?
2. From which date and until which date I can sign FA?

I think I've seen a possibility to sign a FA even just before the SuperBowl, for 1 game. Is that correct? But then after the SuperBowl I think the FA was blocked.
3. When signing a FA can I determine the term and $$$ myself?
Because for the moment all I can do is to accept (sign) the "fair offfer" and I can't modify the term and money.
4. From which date and until which date I can re-sign my own players?
I think it was week 16 or 17. I wanted to re-sign my players and all of them weren't interested with a padlock sign. I looked at the other teams and IIRC they re-signed their players also until week8-9 but then I also seen someone re-signing their players in the offseason but my FAs were already deleted from my roster.
5. The ProBowl is only available if someone from my team is selected?
Because I don't recall that I had a possibility to play the ProBowl in my career with Redskins.
6. Is there a possibility to change in the system of plays (somewhere) the suggestions of the coach and to have at least 1 possibility to run on every single play?
*Because when I need to catch up my opponent. After the 2 minutes warning the "run plays" are not available and even when I'm 1st and goal or in the red zone.
I lost a lot of games because I'm not good with my QB and those interceptions at the 5 yard lines kills me.

Coming back to the ProBowl. I won it 35 to 14. But when you have Mahomes @ 99 OVR as your QB that helps to throw the ball + all stars WRs

I just finished "Ghost of Tsushima". Tremendous game, give it an A-:

+ combat (standard melee, projectile and stealth) are just outstanding. So many ways to take out a Mongol encampment.
+ game has tremendous polish to it, no bugs whatsoever
+ the art and graphics (particularly in the third act) are breathtaking
- combat is a little too easy, I had it on the "hard" setting and cruised comfortably through the game.
I think they should have definitely limited the number of kunai, sticky bombs and smoke bombs you could carry.

Overall though, a very satisfying experience. I'll be getting the directors cut once the price falls, because I've heard
good things about the dlc.

50 red-eyes...maybe.

This ain't bad, either. Makes me wonder...how the f*** did I ever beat one of those things??

Alright someone explain to me the allure of AC Valhalla. I’ve played about five hours of it and I think it stinks. Combat is super clunky. I assume it gets better? After playing Ghost of Tsushima which has about as close to perfect a combat engine as I’ve played I’m really fighting the urge to delete ACV and count the $25 (during the Black Friday sale) as a sunk cost.

So like… probably don’t compare a well made game of the year type to a Ubisoft open world game because there’s no way it measures up.

my draw to Valhalla is in the big character tree and the Nordic stuff. I’m simple enough that dual wielding all the big weapons and spinning around like crazy was a good novelty. Gameplay loop lost me, there are a few too many territories for my taste and they aren’t all diverse enough to care. I haven’t finished them all but for a while there I was actually interested in knowing what was happening with the overarching story. Now I can’t really remember it. It’s good for an Assassin’s Creed game but in the overall scheme of things it’s like a B-

I've been disappointed with my Epic indie haul, especially Inscryption and Loop Hero, so I'm replaying MGSV on Series X while I wait for Elden Ring.

I put in 90 hours on AC Odyssey and loved that game so I’m used to the Ubisoft combat system but this just feels broken to me for some reason. It’s so clunky. Maybe I just need to get better at it.

I hesitated to even start because I preordered Horizon Forbidden West but I don’t want to wait another month to dig into something.

I think you're probably right, so what I did is sort of lean into what felt like it worked and tried to stop noticing. Like... there's a melee skill that lets you dual wield 2-hand weapons which really opens your play style up a bit and then it's just about finding the combos that don't make the game feel gross. 2H axe mainhand and 1H axe offhand did the trick for me since it's largely slow and clunky by nature with some cool bursts. I like faster weapons in other AC games but they were a big miss for this one and a weapon's LB can really blow an otherwise good weapon so experiment.

I may go back and play ACO to compare but I don’t ever remember thinking combat felt like a chore in that game. I’m still only a few hours into Valhalla though so maybe I’ll get over it or do like you did and just find something that works.

The constant upgrading of gear and having to sell, discard, or scrap resources/gear because your inventory was always full after you got to a certain point drove me nuts and it’s eventually the reason I dropped Odyssey and it’s the reason I dropped The Division and The Division 2. When you have to spend more time getting ready to play the game than actually playing it then I lose interest. It’s what drove me nuts about Red Dead Redemption 2 as well. I know RDR2 is Rockstar but Ubisoft needs to figure out how to make their games not feel like a chore once you get to a certain level.

The good news is that’s gone. They went upgrade heavy instead so I’m still wearing the character’s default set but a handful of upgrade tiers (and visual improvements) later. Lots less gear to juggle and sell and all that crap

I read Valhalla and was thinking of Valheim and wondering how in the hell I could play the parts being discussed because Valheim for me was... Not that.

How does it work? Does some guy get 70 billion?
No. There are likely dozens if not hundreds or thousands of shareholders that encompass current and former employees as well as investors. The current CEO bought the company for $500M in 1991 so he’s likely a billionaire now.

They also didn’t specify, if at least I didn’t see if it was specified, if the transaction was all cash, a swap of stock (i.e. you get Microsoft shares that replace your Activision shares) or if it’s a cash/stock deal. There may also be clauses that require Activision employees to stay a certain period of time before vesting their stock.

Regardless, it’s fair to say a lot of money made a lot of money today.
