Interesting Richard got the start tonight…wonder if that means Outhouse tomorrow against X?
He’s given up 1 goal in 4 starts , I think he deserves a start against X, was in net for a SMU game already. With how they’ve both played I think at this point you just rotate them until playoff time

Glad to see Outhouse get the start tonight. It was about time he got to face a top team and face some serious shots. I know coach Mac likes to pick a number one goalie and stick with him but I would like to see them platoon for the rest of the season.

And that's why you're not the Head Coach of the Red Army.

I've followed this since it happened and have seen the video several times. I honestly can't decide what to make of it.

I saw a similar incident at the Sportsplex in 1985 when a Jr A player got his neck cut by a skate. If not for the quick action of the trainor, he would have died. You could have heard a pin drop in the rink when that happened. Very sobering moment, for sure.
I heard "accident" from day 1 and felt sorry for him. I saw the video once and it looked like a round-house kick. In any event, a permanent suspension looks likely. Manslaughter looks like an appropriate charge.

I tend to agree with you on a possible suspension. We'll wait for the results.

Blagden playing D tonight with Kyte out.

Sproule also left the game early after suffering what appeared to be a shoulder injury.
If Kyte is out, someone else will step up. That someone was Blagden. UNB won 7-1. It doesn't get mentioned a lot, but other teams have injuries. SMU has played a few games with 14 skaters. I realize it upsets the chemistry to mix up the lines, but it happens.

Pleasantly surprised Sproule is back in there…he looked in obvious discomfort leaving the ice last night. He also appeared to have his arm in a sling judging from the post game player of the game picture.

The 2023 Champions got their rings yesterday. The big surprise was Connor Hall, who drove up from South Caroline for the weekend. He's been put on injured reserve by his ECHL team, so he had time for the trip. Gardiner said he gave Hall a "curfew" until after Saturday's game. Several family members of the players were there, plus all the girlfriends dressed to the nines.

Sam McGinley will play in the second half. He's healed up now, but they will take the time just to be safe.

The Reds "have their eyes" on some players to bring in after Christmas. No hints were given, other than probably at least one d-man.

I know unb missed on D but I’m sure they will find another one. Example - Aidan de la Gorgendiere

So what was the best regular season finish for the REDS? Anyone know right off hand?
Best Season Record is 27-1 in 2009-10.

Best 'Finish' to a season is a tie - 14 straight wins starting at the end of the 1st half: 2015-16 and 2019-20. Both won their last game before the break and were 13-0 in the second half. They also won their Christmas games for records of 16-0 and 15-0. The 2016 team won gold in Halifax over SFX and the 2020 team were 'odds on favorites' to win, but COVID cancelled the tournament.

This was good stuff….cool
to see and hear some of the stuff that goes on in the room and on the ice. Thanks for sharing.

Should be more episodes coming out as the season progresses.

Following TMU closely this year because they are hosts. Plus, there is a good chance they will be UNB's opponent in the quarterfinal.
