Playoff quality game this afternoonClassic St. FX game
I saw him go down the tunnel but I just figured it was an equipment thing since he didn’t seem noticeably injured. So did anyone see anything happen to McCormick?

I was watching the game and wondered about all the empty seats. But, as a road team, I like the idea.Watched the replay on AUS TV. It was an innocent play but he is definitely hurt. Hopefully just a bad shoulder strain.
Well as far as attendance goes the 4pm start isn't any better. It was actually lower than last nights game against Dal.
I would be fine with the odd 4pm start if other teams were doing it. They have one more the first Saturday in January. With the lower attendance they may decide to scarp the idea for next season.I was watching the game and wondered about all the empty seats. But, as a road team, I like the idea.

I would assume kids have more extra-curricular activities on a Saturday afternoon than Saturday night, though? I feel like you get a different crowd make-up…but maybe not necessarily a bigger crowd.I'm guessing they're doing it to get kids in the seats. Kids bring their parents.
Less minor hockey players more 3-6 year olds . I was talking with my brother about how on a Saturday afternoon the kids act more like they are at a park, running around throwing things etc, something for parents to take kids to who don’t have extracurriculars to get them out of the house for a few hoursI would assume kids have more extra-curricular activities on a Saturday afternoon than Saturday night, though? I don’t mind the 4pm games…but I think it would made more sense to have them later in the year. There aren’t too many Saturday’s left where the weather
will be warm…people might want to take advantage of that rather than being inside on a nice autumn afternoon.
There are pros and cons to both start times…I don’t think there is a perfect solution.
I'm guessing we'll find out next weekend if Nolet is healthy or not. I liked his year last year. Smart and reliable d-man who stepped up when needed.Finished the game with 4 defencemen…McGinley looked liked he was in all kinds of discomfort with his shoulder/arm…I never saw what happened to McCormick.

Well that makes about 1000% more sense. It's not about kids and parents schedules to attend a game. Notice that there are 4 x Saturday 4pm games. 2 each at Fredericton UNB and UdM Moncton. It's a Nova Scotia visitor on a 2 game trip to NB and each of the 4 NS schools gets one of the Saturday afternoon game.
St FX Oct 14 at UNB
Acadia Oct 28 at Moncton
Dalhousie Jan 6 at UNB
SMU Jan 27 at Moncton
Each of the NS schools in the season gets one of their 2 game road trips to NB end earlier on a Saturday, which gets back earlier from a double game NB trip once per season.
UPEI schedules single game roadies to NS (4 single game trips, 3 double game trips)
Moncton is centrally located closer to NS and can be back from Halifax in 2.5 hours.
That leaves UNB who does 5 doubleheader roadies to NS, all with 7pm starts (pleading now with this peanut gallery to not start looking for conspiracy theories to this schedule hypothesis)
This is why I feel its more about travel logistics and less about trying to sell 7 more bags of popcorn to kids on a Saturday afternoon
Makes sense even to me, but I'd rather get away from UNB or UPEI 3 hrs earlier than get away from UdeM.Well that makes about 1000% more sense.
I didn’t realize Moncton also had two
4PM games this year too.
He hasn’t really stood out to me…which I guess isn’t a bad thing if you’re a defensive defenceman. I see him fitting into that McIvor/Suellentrop/Wright type role…not going to put up many points, but will be crucial to the success of the team as a shutdown defender. How has Kammerer looked?
He basically missed an entire year UNB, including the Memorial Cup in Saint John.
He has looked solid to me. Probably leads the team in big hits. How has Kammerer looked?

Anyone hear anything on the status of McGinley & McCormick for this tough weekend road trip?Finished the game with 4 defencemen…McGinley looked liked he was in all kinds of discomfort with his shoulder/arm…I never saw what happened to McCormick.
Blagden also in. McCormick was listed before the game but not McGinley or Sproule, wonder if he took the warmup or if it’s just the AUS site being the AUS siteLooks like no McCormick/McGinley/Sproule…Nolet is in.

Probably just a glitch since now it only lists 13 but before the game it had 18 listed
Edit- Blagdon not listed on AUS site but he’s 1000% played 3-4 shifts
