Listened to the game on the commute home but had to shut it off.
Coyle seems to be in the right spots and 'almost' or 'close' to scoring all the time. Usually the clear sign that the players hands have passed and gone and that he is done.

This management team salivated at the notion of acquiring him for two years they loved this player so much and handed him what might be one of the worst contracts of the salary cap era.
Sleepy Joe Sacco and the rest of his brain dead staff make me want to cry.

Holy shit this team is ass.
First goal was off a bullshit penalty, but suddenly complaints about refs kinda rings hollow when they just straight up crap all over the ice.
Horrendous puck carrying, passing, pretty much anything required to move up the ice. Braindead coverage in their own zone. Lorhei's gaffe should legit get him scratched for a game.
Sacco sucks too but at the very least we all know he's gone at year's end anyway. He's done nothing to show he's worth taking the tag off.
Small positive; I actually enjoyed the Jets announcers. Incredibly unbiased to the point they wouldn't let go the soft penalty call for the first couple periods and called the game straight down the middle. Good chemistry between the two guys.

I have to emotionally divest from this team for the rest of this season. They are just so glaringly bad. Sweeney built a playoff roster for a team without the skill to make the playoffs. Pure genius.

Free agency was a bust.

Team is old, slow and lacks skill. This era is officially at an end. Now we just have to see if they admit it and get to work on a retool/rebuild or if they stubbornly hang on and make the process even slower and more painful.

Merk should be given Poitras spot and see if he can do anything given an opportunity. 51 hasn’t proved he’s ready for full time duty

I should have tossed money on this one. Would have done well predicting a Parker Ford goal, and the Bruins getting pulverized.
Thing is, there were more than a few years not too long ago where the gift of the absolutely under appreciated elite players we had hid the excessively mediocre roster that we had otherwise......now it is right out in the open, this is a team full of the exact same type of no frills NHL player. Sure it works when you have enough real true standouts, but this roster......no frills.

Ottawa's only 2 points up but they have 2 games in hand. The real problem however is this;
Every team in that picture outside of Philly has a significant # of games in hand. Even the Islanders are theoretically still in it given they have 4 games on the Bruins.
