Is Robertson coming this season as well?Jones is going to come in and compete, as is Robertson.
Lundkvist is going to come in next year and compete, as will Schneider.
I'm not really worried about being too stacked because the runner-up is going to get a ton of ice time in the AHL, and/or the Rangers know full well that a big trade is going to cost them and they want to protect their depth.

Did he imply he had inside knowledge? Or was he just riffing? If the former, that’s poor. If the latter, it’s an excusable mistake, of course.Chris Peters saying this signing could impact Lundkvist's decision to sign
those quotes were from before the Hockey East playoffs
once they made Frozen Four, 2 wins from the title,
it seemed reasonable he might turn pro IF they won title (they did)

i find it unbelievable that ppl can go through life that miserable. why even watch the games or pay attention to results if the only thing that matters is the 16th win in the playoffs.
Respectfully, I don't think it seemed reasonable at all after less than 2 months ago he was asked about his anticipation of playing in the NHL next year and responds with, "I want to come back (NCAA) next year... I don't think I'm ready to play pro hockey yet, I don't think my body is mature enough, I don't think I'm big enough yet for it - and I think that extra year of college next year and this year and a big summer this year will help me hopefully being able to sign after my junior year... But if that doesn't happen and I'm here for 4 years so be it..."
Seems his primary reason for saying he wasn't ready for pro hockey was his physical size (maturity).... That didn't change in less than 2 months time... Winning the NCAA championship really doesn't have on any bearing on the reason he's saying he doesn't feel he's ready to make the jump...
Hopefully Brooks can get the inside scoop and find out exactly what the player and organization were thinking with the timing of this move...
Is Robertson coming this season as well?
why. he's still under contract and Jones plays LD. Lundkvist plays RD.Hmmmmm, I mean I guess they had to because they were getting worried he might pull the Fox/Vesey loophole but it definitely would have been more ideal for him to play another year in the NCAA. Lundkvist also probably is scratching his head.

Robertson can play 6 games without it impacting his ELC slide this season ...
Could be AHL bound. But I would not rule out him getting at least practice time with the club.

Not unheard of players switching sides. I'm fine with the signing, just would have perfered him stay another year in the NCAA, but if they were worried he would becoming an UFA then you had to do it.why. he's still under contract and Jones plays LD. Lundkvist plays RD.
why is that a loophole? (i ask every time)
Junior players, who don't sign just 2 years post-draft, have their rights forfeited.
Guys who don't sign 50 months, or 62 months, post-draft should have less?

Junior players are forced to re-enter the draft though. They don't become free agents after those 2 years.
