I like all the crime and of course shows like The Wire . It is getting harder and harder to find good crime series to binge . I was lucky enough to stumble onto Bosch as well . The search continues.....I notice the Shield was fairly long running ......anyone watch it all ?
I stumbled onto Bosch as well and I really enjoyed it all the say through. I always saw it scrolling through on Prime but never watched it I just figured it looked corny. I’m glad I gave it a chance bc I loved it.

Have you watched “We own this city” on HBO? Was a 6 part mini series by the creator of the wire. Came out last year, starring Jon Bernthal. It was excellent, I highly recommend it.

On my list but no AMC+

How was it (no spoilers)?
It was alright. These final season batch of 16-24 episodes haven't been that great, felt low-stakes the whole time imo, but the finale was relatively strong considering the quality of the final stretch run. Seasons 9 and 10 were much better by Angela Kang. The finale wrapped as is with no cliffhangers to the spin-offs, but there is a post-credit-type-but-not separate and extended teaser for the Rick and Michonne series.

We watched DopeSick[Oxycontin story]the last two weeks....and enjoyed it . I kind of missed that epedimic happening all around us at the time . I lost my doctor over it.....he left very suddenly . Some said too many prescriptions.....some said he was hooked and some said he felt threatened by the dealers around here .

I also remember working in a home one day and a dope dealer who was bad news picked up the man and took him to get his preccriptions filled....not sure how many pharmacies they hit.....and then they went to a few small towns to sell them,,,,,,,piece of shit .

I should have reported him but he likely would know who did it . The cancer victim who had the prescriptions , wife....told us the whole story after they left.....and the poor woman was not quite a 100% mentally either.....F'n lowlifes using them......and that would be just one couple being taken advantage of .

You do not have to live in a big city to have low life dope dealers these days.......the country is full of them .

Finally caught up on Season 2 Finale of The White Lotus. Incredible. Loved it.

Been watching Welcome to Chippendales and wow it's incredible. I knew about the murders, but still...wew. Great dramatization.

Didn't love season 3 of Jack Ryan. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as great as S1 or even S2.
I threw in the towel after 5th episode. You would need to be a Philly lawyer to follow the names and who was who in it . LOL....In the meantime I will stick to Animal Kingdom ...halfway through it and uncomplicated and entertaining for these old eyes .

Yeah, just finished Season 2. Very good. Really made me want to visit Italy.

Disappointing to hear. I was looking forward to watching the new season
It isn't terrible. I just think that in this season, the Ryan character has morphed into superhero territory. The geopolitical shenanigans also get a little absurdist in my view.

Enjoyed Glass Onion. I want to watch the Witcher mini-series but I expect it to me mediocre. Will check out Willow eventually. Wife and I are currently working our way through… The Vampire Diaries… because I like vampire lore and she loved the show and wanted me to understand wtf she’s talking about when she references it.

Interestingly enough the dude who played Stefan is Polish and my wife has met him and spoke some Polish with him (Paul Wesley is actually Pavel Wasilewsky) and the dude who played Damon shares my birthday. The two of them made their own bourbon and it’s surprisingly good - not a celebrity collaboration with another distillery but actually their own product. Knowing that makes me enjoy the show a bit more (or maybe it’s drinking it that does it…).

Still can't get through Witcher.

I, too, am a HUGE fan of "Bite Bits" (my name for vampire stuff)....I really enjoyed Vampire Diaries until the 4th season when I thought it was becoming a Twilight clone. Love Ian Somerhalder.
