I started watching Bosch a couple weeks ago (newborn daughter so I have a lot of time in front of the tv at this point) and I’m already in season 5. This show is really good as far as police procedurals go. I really like it a lot.
We loved Bosch from start to finish . First season of Bosch Legacy was also good and now we are watching City On A Hill season 3 . I love the police series . It is hard to find a decent movie these days.....watching the old Bronson and Eastwood cop shows from the 70's is better entertainment....just straight out killing LOL....no supernatural or theatrics...and lots of nice old cars !

Hrm. I think he ended up precisely where he wanted to.

I agree. It was a disappointment to fans who were invested in him, but his most famous line is “I don’t want it” which he says about 8000 times. I think in the end, he’s where he’d prefer to be even if the auspices of the terms don’t feel fair.

It mirrors the book - the first half is A LOT of description and laying the foundation for what's to come. It's pretty obvious the director is a fan of the books.

I can't wait to see how they portray Alia. She was my favorite character in the books. Also loved her portrayal in the original movie.

I've been watching The Rings of Power every week, trying not to hurl my TV out of my window after every episode. There's danger involved when you know The Silmarillion cover to cover. I'm trying SO hard to just take it for what it is, but it's tough. It's very beautiful. It looks the part. That's all I got.

What blows my mind is how people are freaking out over Arondir's character because he's Puerto Rican and thus has brown skin rather than the horrible flaws with the story vs. the source material. Then again people were also freaking out over the girl playing Ariel being black, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Better than having his head chopped off or left to rot in a dungeon. Lol.

Anyway, looks like the Jon Snow series is coming out on New Years Day or sometime first quarter of 2023. This being a sequel , I am excited. They can maybe fix some of the issues with the last season of GOT. Bring some GOT characters back and maybe explore more detail about the white walkers origin.

I feel you. I have a Tolkien tattoo so that should tell how much I WANTED it to be good, but you're exactly right. It looks great but it is so unbelievably boring. It's so disappointing to have waited years only to get...this.

Any Curse of Oak Island fans out here?

Its the same show every night, but i find the historical parts and the crap they find interesting.

SOOOO... Hurricane Fiona has a bullseye on Oak Island right now. They are saying 30+ foot waves. The swamp is on the ocean side and could face a direct hit. Canada has never seen this type of storm up there. Sandy-like. The Lagina brothers are shitting their pants right now

The worst part is, as I put it to another friend, I am such a desperate nerd for that world (though i still haven't seen the second and third hobbit movies), that I'm gonna watch every f***ing second of this show in mild anger. lol

Anyone see this? It came out in 2020. The opening scene is the Matteau game winner. Which was a nice surprise.

Im just putting a spoiler in case someone cares about being surprised 😂

I haven’t finished yet, tbh. I went in blindly thinking it was some rom-com for background fodder. But It’s actually a hockey movie. Im really engaged and like it so far. I’ll let the thread know when i’m finished.
I can’t edit my post for some reason. So turns out this movie is based on Bill Kennan’s memoir. Id definitely recommend it.

Anyone watch the Terminal List ? Lots of action in it....we are into episode 5 .... and we also started watching Alaska Daily with Hilary Swank....it is not what we usually watch but it looks good after one episode . It's based on the murders of all the indigenous women in Western Canada ....

I tried about 4 times -- couldn't get through the first episode.

Re :The Terminal List...I hear you . I went back to it 3 times....on episode 6 now....it is very entertaining since that first episode . It was a sleeper . Lot of dead bodies since then piling up .

I actually made it thru episode 2....but ep 1 was so scattered that I missed things and was totally confused by the end of 2....so I went back...but that didn't help much.

Finally got around to finishing Ozark - great show that kinda lost its legs in its final season and ended with a resounding thud.

Andor, however, is really pretty good. And, under the radar, See is a show that gets stronger every season. Too bad it's the last hurrah for that one this year.

Just finishing second episode of The Peripheral -- definitely not what I expected when I read the description. Looking forward to new eps.

The Patient! Excellent Psychological Drama. Concept and execution is top notch. Final episode of the first (only?) season is this Tuesday on Hulu.

I agree with the concept and execution....but, I've never been able to watch Carell.....however, I did give this the college try -- failed miserably.

Not sure where you saw that but they havent even written the story yet and HBO hasn’t even confirmed the show yet. This won’t be on TV for years. Definitely not before 2025.
