I didn't like the fate of Jon Snow, he deserved better. His actions of bringing everyone together saved the realms first from the dead and then from another mad ruler, should not have gotten him exiled. it threw the whole revelation about his true parents out the window. Hopefully his spinoff series will give him better justice

The Night King deserved better. And I hope he's not fully gone. Or Drogon takes Daenerys' body north and she somehow becomes Night Queen or something. I just feel like that whole thing needs to continue. There was a lot left unexplained. Such as, why did the Night King want the Three Eyed Raven so badly. There was so much depth to dive into with the Night King, Bran being able to time view and alter events in the past, the meaning of the symbols the Walkers leave everywhere, the babies the Night King was taking... but it just ended so abruptly. I did a lot of research and it goes way deeper. The way the Long Night happened is worth reading up on. If they just leave it the way they did it would be stupid. They already went past what George R. R. Martin wrote. He hasn't even finished writing the books yet. Which is why season 8 was rushed, there was no source material to base it on. There's a huge opportunity for HBO to pick it back up and continue the story, not just as spin off shows.

Agreed pretty entertaining but not even close to being on the level of Blackbird. That was a great show and the actor who player Larry Hall was great

Black Bird was excellent....was surprised at how good Egerton was.....Larry Hall actor definitely the best of the bunch. Still can't get through Watcher.

I tried two eps of East NY -- as much as I love police procedurals and the like, this one didn't do it for me.

I finished Watcher....stupid show. I don't mind East NY.....hoping once they expand on the characters it will get more interesting ,

Does anyone know the status of the following shows....Hightown -City On A Hill-Mayor of Kingston which is one I really liked ....and Peaky Blinders & Snowfall ? Will there be one more season from them ?

City on Hill -- Cancelled
Mayor of Kingston -- Renewed for season 2
Peaky Blinders -- Season 6 is last season
Snowfall == Renewed for Season 5
Hightown -- Renewed for Season 3

Can't wait for Mayor of Kingstown....it was really good I thought . Will miss City on A Hill . Hightown is entertaining but lags behind Snowfall/Peaky B's . Thanks for the news on renewals and culls .

You're most welcome. I love Mayor and Peaky. Didn't care much for City. I've never seen the other two.
 
Rings of Power - I've seen a lot of "slow" criticisms, etc... but, considering the source material, that was somewhat to be expected. I really liked it and its depth, visuals and performances - especially considering this is a "TV show". Quite satisfactory, IMHO.

Peripheral is also looking pretty good after the first episode. Reminds me a little bit of Caprica if anyone remembers that from the Battlestar Galactica universe.

I'm 4 eps into Peripheral and I like it as well.

Never heard of any of these besides Peaky Blinders. Somehow they've got it into my YouTube shorts. Looks like a Sopranos/Boardwalk Empire style

I like all the crime and of course shows like The Wire . It is getting harder and harder to find good crime series to binge . I was lucky enough to stumble onto Bosch as well . The search continues.....I notice the Shield was fairly long running ......anyone watch it all ?

The Shield is a great show and I personally preferred it to the Wire.

The first few seasons of the Wire were gold.

Rings of Power was good. High expectations, but I thought they met most of them. This year had so many good shows/seasons--Rings of Power, Stranger Things Season 4, House of the Dragon, Andor (not finished yet but it's awesome), Severance, Peacemaker.
 
I was happy I stuck out with Severance and then was really disappointed to find out that there is only one season.

would have been nice to have a 2nd season to watch. Really good show and intense ending but there is gonna be a season 2 I believe

Yeah Severance was really, really good. Probably the best new show of the last year for me. Can’t wait for season 2.

Ben Stiller is turning into quite the director of prestige TV. He did Escape at Dannamora for Showtime before this which was also excellent if you haven’t seen it.

The Wire is a masterpiece. I’m always looking for new shows to watch but I constantly find myself doing rewatches of The Sopranos and The Wire.
