My wife and I are on episode 160 of 170 of The Vampire Diaries. Good looking cast all around, and I’m a sucker for vampires and witches and shit. We’ll probably end up watching the spin-off Originals.

We’re also about to start the final season of Servant on Apple TV which has been supremely good so far. And then we’ll start The Last of Us.
I am a "Bite Bit" freak (that's what I call anything related to Vampires). I loved Vampire Diaries (which was strange since I pretty much despised anything aired on the CW/WB network (WAY too much teen angst). VD lost me when Elena's storyline turned (I will not elaborate in case there is anyone here who intends to watch it, but those who have know what I mean).

Is it bad that I enjoy watching the original "Charmed" series.....yeah, witches and stuff....but its quite nice visually.
I have been a huge fan of Julian McMahon since he first arrived in the US and appeared on "Another World"....however try as I may, I could not stand watching Doherty and I found Alyssa Milano annoying.

There’s a ton about the show that I hate - it’s a literal soap opera with super natural elements, but there’s some things about it that are just too good. The bond and love/hate between Stefan and Damon is great. Enzo is a good character, Klaus and Elijah are great. Stefan flipping his switch now and then is fun. Caroline really improves as the show goes on. Elena becomes one of the worst characters, IMO, and the villains got weaker and less compelling as the show went on. Katherine and then Klaus and then Silas were pretty solid. The Travelers and The Sirens kinda sucked.

Somerholder has been good in almost everything I've seen him in....and he definitely doesn't disappoint -- he takes the sarcastic villain to new heights. The "originals" actually breathed life back into the show. Katherine also began to annoy me. Loved the witches though.

I still think it was more on the "teen angst" level than "soap opera" (I actually liked soaps).

It’s definitely not short on teen angst (or people in their late 20’s to early 30’s playing teenagers) but it’s filmed so much like a soap with the intense lingering close ups (often on Damon and Enzo’s absurd facial expressions) and the super dramatic lines. “I’m not losing you again!” “Bonnie is my best friend, Damon!”

But it’s also super fun when you get over it and just enjoy the ride. Hello brother.

I also swear by Paul and Ian’s whiskey right now. Best value for your dollar by a long shot, IMO. I’m honestly stunned at how good of a bourbon they produced.

Finished watching Welcome to Chippendales. Wew good show. Felt the finale was a bit rushed, but still pretty good.

FOr the life of me, I can't recall who Enzo was. I do agree with your "soapy" assessments though.

Edit -- OK -- I looked him up.....didn't know him....the incident that stopped me watching occurred in the 4th season.

Enzo’s was Damon’s bff when they were prisoners together, then he’s like an friend/enemy for a few seasons and then he’s Bonnie’s true love.

I think this is the best role Renner has had. I can't imagine anyone else in it.

And, given his condition, might be a role he can never resume.
Oh WOW......just finding this out ! I wonder if they have the whole season already filmed . I watched the first 2 episodes of Season 2 last night......I have a funny feeling that Russian fellow is going to make life miserable for the coroner who already is overworked by the prison rioting . It is a great show.

Has anyone watched Your Honor? I can't recall if it's been discussed.

Do you mean Milo? I am definitely wondering what the hell he's up to.

I liked the first two episodes (with lower expectations following pretty meh s1. and hopefully it gets even better once they finish setting up the board.

Did they make a season 2 ? I am not sure I can handle a season 2 which was just OK ......
If you're referring to Your Honor, season 2 just started....saw the first two episodes -- I have to say I'm not happy with the direction I believe they're going in. Was surprised to see they added Rosie Perez to the cast.

Just watched M3GAN. What a creepy but fun romp. Best movie. And an important lesson about AI.

One thing I haven't seen discussed about that movie is how if this child doll was an actual thing, exactly how many would be purchased to be "friends" with a certain subset of the adult population rather than children. That would 100% be a thing.
