Messier is a disgrace as a TV sports personality.Messier is a bitter old man who is just jealous he has no relevancy anymore. He’s a terrible commentator.

No issue with messier talking about bedard’s defense there, but it’s funny listening to a guy like messier talk about deserved ice time and what he did to the locker room morale in Vancouver as a supposed leader of men.Are you idiots done with dissing one of the best players in the history of the NHL because he told it like it was about our darling? You're embarrassing yourselves. Maybe just stick to listening to Hawks commentators who pass over the bad and adore his every good play.
It's hilarious that you think Mik is a better option than Bertuzzi, for Bedard, still. He's a black hole offensively, there is nothing about his game that would fit well with Bedard. For how many games? 3?
8 brings grit and board play. 95 brings speed, opens up ice and is good defensively. 59 brings .... hmmm... let me see. Oh yeah, when he manages to get there, he is good at standing at the side of the crease waiting for 98 to shoot it off his skate.
Did you watch last night's game? It was a perfect example. The line was chasing all night long. Bedard's precious few opportunities came mainly from himself or Nazar or during changes when Donato was out there. Bert was nowhere in sight on either side of the puck. You make it sound like Bertuzzi has offense in his game. Put him in Mik's spot, or Donatos, or anywhere in the bottom 6 and see how much offense he generates. It's hilarious that you think Mik is a better option than Bertuzzi, for Bedard, still. Everyone sees it, but you.
Bedard's line is going to struggle with possession until HE improves in that aspect. This team doesn't have the wingers that are going to get him the puck very often. Putting bottom 6 players on his line isn't going to lead to more offense.Did you watch last night's game? It was a perfect example. The line was chasing all night long. I hear ya but the 98/91 combo is weak defensively and (if the coach insists on playing them together) badly needs a gritty guy to be responsible defensively, can keep up to the play and who can win board battles. The 1st line is going to often go against the ops best line. I don't think the 98/91/59 is sustainable at the moment.Bedard's line is going to struggle with possession until HE improves in that aspect. Who gives a shit what Messier thinks? Having natural athletic gifts doesn't mean every opinion you have is correct. If he's such a brilliant hockey mind, why isn't he coaching? Why was Gretzky such a mediocre coach, despite being the best player in league history? It's because being a legendary hockey player doesn't necessarily translate to being a coach. Are you idiots done with dissing one of the best players in the history of the NHL because he told it like it was about our darling? Bedards line, regardless of who has been on it the entire season, has been mostly chasing. lolDid you watch last night's game? It was a perfect example. The line was chasing all night long. The entire team isn't sustainable, its the best we got, like it or not.I hear ya but the 98/91 combo is weak defensively and (if the coach insists on playing them together) badly needs a gritty guy to be responsible defensively, can keep up to the play and who can win board battles. LOL ... so you admit that Bert cannot create offense but Bert and 98 on the PP can. Agreed. He does have offense, compared to Mik. Bertuzzi has the most goals on the team, WTF are you talking about? Of course he isn't going to generate with other players, the other players are f***ing awful. You know who he does generate with? and who Bedard mostly generates with? Each other.
there's only two forwards that see more on ice scoring per 60 minutes with bedard at 5v5 than bertuzzi, those being nazar and dickinson. mikheyev is seventh.LOL ... so you admit that Bert cannot create offense but Bert and 98 on the PP can. Agreed.
lol, what? Bedard has created his most @ ES, with Bertuzzi, Bertuzzi has been most productive with Bedard @ ES. Are you blind?LOL ... so you admit that Bert cannot create offense but Bert and 98 on the PP can. Agreed.
lol, like it's not even close. I'm not sure what Bobby sees that everyone else supposedly can't.there's only two forwards that see more on ice scoring per 60 minutes with bedard at 5v5 than bertuzzi, those being nazar and dickinson. mikheyev is seventh.
But I mean he wouldn’t be the first elite forward to suck defensively. You know what kills players like him? His wings not being able to chip the puck out. Or Brodie throwing muffins up the middle to opposing players.Messier has always been a terrible analyst. He should stick to lays chips commercials
Yes Bedard sucks defensively. It’s pretty obvious. Messier can also be an idiot. Man might have CTE. Everytime I watch those prime Monday night games and he shows his mug my remote hits mute.
Man even if he ends up like Kane did as a defensive liability if he puts up 100 points it is what it isBut I mean he wouldn’t be the first elite forward to suck defensively. Bedard is chasing in the defensive zone because his teammates can’t execute a f***ing breakout pass. Of course Bedard gets blamed.
