From what I heard from the press conference today, and now on Overdrive, really does seem like the Leafs No.1 priority is getting a goalie to play with Campbell via trade or FA. If everything falls together they will have some cap to make moves, but its going to be super tight

I can't find the Lemieux rumour anywhere. Anyone else have any insight on this?
We do need toughness, and we seem to like to deal with the Kings, so it's definitely possible. But would like to see where this source is haha

Rangers fans said that Brendan Lemieux is kinda ass. And if you're telling me the kings are looking to trade him only after half a season....I dont think Lemieux is good.

I personally really want Sean Kuraly. He's got speed/tenacity/toughness and a menace on the boards. We saw that first hand in the playoffs.

On why Dubas isn’t chasing big changes to Leafs’ roster

“I understand that some may look at it and say, 'This group hasn't gotten it done' and [ask] why there aren’t significant changes [being made]. But for better or worse, I believe in this group, and I believe that they are going to get it done and I believe that they're going to win. I understand that comes with certain doubt because of the fact that we have not broken through in the playoffs, but it's my belief that they will. I believe in them as players and I believe in them as people. I know that decision lies on me and what the risk is for me. I'm comfortable with it. I believe that we're going to see the best version of this group next season that we've seen yet and I'm willing to bet everything on that.”

Kyle Dubas is a walking a very fine line here. He's 100% convinced that the team and core assembled here are good enough to win it all and he's willing to bet his job on that. I admire his belief in himself but I don't agree with him. I'm also very skeptical that next year's team is going to be the best version of this group. We're going to have notable exclusions in our roster, our depth will be decimated, and we don't have room to fill out this roster with players capable of being in the rotation the entire year. We're an injury to a core player away from potentially not making it in the playoffs at all, if you ask me. It's too bad because if the contracts were dealt with the right way, we could have had a real opportunity to fill out this roster with high end complimentary players but because of those very contracts, we're losing any depth we have which will be replaced by players making the minimum. I know the off-season is still young but the outlook just doesn't look very promising to make meaningful improvements.

Sean Kuraly/Jordin Matinook/Jujhar Khaira

One of those guys will be a leaf imo at free agency. 4th line LW.

A decent amount of pretty good depth/bottom line players the Leafs could snatch up. Like every year I suppose.

I will guess Bunting and Khaira will be among players very likely signed by the Leafs or shown high interest.

Can't remember, may have just been someone posting that someone on Twitter said it.

Hockeywiz posted the Sportsnet article where this was mentioned: Maple Leafs at crossroads as Zach Hyman nears exit

''The Leafs are believed to have extended the pending unrestricted free agent a max term eight-year offer carrying an annual value a little over $4 million.''

Which is still crazy. 8 years.
