Then how would they be signing Hyman?Name me a Toronto GM since the cap came into effect that wasn't maxed out on capspace.

We also did have the capspace to re-up Hyman but chose to allocate thise dollars to Brodie which was 100% the right move.because these other GM's would have had the available cap space?
1974 for me.My guess is you have not suffered long enough being a Leaf fan.![]()
We could sign Hyman for $5M right now but we shouldn't. Dubas is doing the right thing. That money needs to go elsewhere. Then how would they be signing Hyman?
Imagine the complaints if they weren't? "They aren't even trying to use that cap space!!"We also did have the capspace to re-up Hyman but chose to allocate thise dollars to Brodie which was 100% the right move.
Get it threw your heads folks, Toronto will always be right up against the cap, year in, year out.
Does anyone think that they won't?We also did have the capspace to re-up Hyman but chose to allocate thise dollars to Brodie which was 100% the right move.

Depending on the price and role, I would be good with this.Talks out there that the Leafs have made a deal for Brendan Lemieux

I don't believe before the arrival of Tavares they spent to the cap.
Apparently he was offered 4.5 x 8 so not that far off.We could sign Hyman for $5M right now but we shouldn't. Dubas is doing the right thing. That money needs to go elsewhere.
Nah, we have plenty enough to build a competent third line and get a goalie. I just really hope that's where the money os allocated to.Any fool knows that. The problem is that half is going to 4 forwards who have failed to win a round in a flat cap world and Dubas has to fill out the roster off the clearance rack at Walmart.

I agree. Actually has a better Faceoff percentage than Kerfoot. Can be used in the bottom 6 with C and W versatility, and throws a lot of hits. I'd be interested if the price was rightKhaira would be a nice 4th line option.
I read something like that here earlier. Not sure if it was legit or not.Haven't heard that tbh.
Whereabouts??Talks out there that the Leafs have made a deal for Brendan Lemieux
Actually? Haven't found that yet. Said about an hour ago though that I hope Dubas calls at leastTalks out there that the Leafs have made a deal for Brendan Lemieux

Swear I read that on this board. I'm working at the same time so I may have misread. I'm sure someone will pipe up if they had seen it as well.Rumors are funny. Everyone likes to use them to support their argument even if there is no real evidence behind them.
Not nessissary saying that's what @ACC1224 is doing.
Happens both ways on this board though
While I like the shakeup, who is the true #1 PMD?

If you have truly suffered from being a Leafs fan, you should get out. This is supposed to be fun. It sounds like you may be letting an entertainment product have way too much effect on you.
Was it a tweet someone posted? It was mentioned earlier, not the first time I saw it.
