GDT: Trades & Free Agency Thread - post expansion list

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. We also did have the capspace to re-up Hyman but chose to allocate thise dollars to Brodie which was 100% the right move.

Get it threw your heads folks, Toronto will always be right up against the cap, year in, year out.

Imagine the complaints if they weren't? "They aren't even trying to use that cap space!!"

Does anyone think that they won't?
I don't believe before the arrival of Tavares they spent to the cap.

Any fool knows that. The problem is that half is going to 4 forwards who have failed to win a round in a flat cap world and Dubas has to fill out the roster off the clearance rack at Walmart.

Nah, we have plenty enough to build a competent third line and get a goalie. I just really hope that's where the money os allocated to.

Swear I read that on this board. I'm working at the same time so I may have misread. I'm sure someone will pipe up if they had seen it as well.

While calling Chychrun a true pmd may be a bit generous, he would be the best puck mover on that blueline, with a booming shot who would be on the #1 PP. A better fit for the Leafs PP for sure. But I know what you mean.

You are 100% right but what is fun about losing 5 straight first round series, no playoff series wins since 2003 and no cups since 1967? Trust me I am not alone in this boat and if you are not today, I guarantee you will be soon enough.
