GDT: Trades & Free Agency Thread - post expansion list

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Im really just completely puzzled as to what Seattle is doing, or not doing I guess... and I'm absolutely floored that Carolina would just basically giveaway Ned.

Fair has nothing to do with it. It is a fact that we lost our 4th and 5th best forwards (Hyman and McCann or Foligno) and they will need to be replaced. Be great if Robbie can fill one of the 4 LW spots but Dubas will have to find at least one top 6 LWer. Not impossible but it won't be easy given how much AAV they have for each. Be great if they can resign Bogo because there aren't many UFA RHD available that can do what he did for us last year.

Goodrow has 14 points in 65 playoff games, and his prime is quickly fading.

I think Rags were just shamed by what Wilson did to them last year, are desperate for some toughness that can take a shift and are willing to overpay.

I fixed the Leafs forward group and got the Leafs a true #1 PMD. Will something like this happen? Absolutely not. ha

The hardest thing to do is be patient and sit on your hands. The easiest thing to do is be emotional and blow it up - trade Marner for whatever and sign free agents. It's what what seems like 80% of the fans in here would do.

Yea if that's the price for a young goalie I'm calling on all of them. Kahkonen, Hart, etc..

My issue with dubas is he is legitimately a smart guy. But like he makes his moves on hindsight. No vision. Id bet anything that before this season he'd target hall instead of foligno. But his moves are reactionary.
Its frustrating and I do think he is a good person as evidenced by the mikheyev ordeal when he was injured. But unfortunately the way he has gone this summer.... Its honestly laughable. His moves or lack therof this summer have been pathetic. Jmo. And I think us fans have a right to be exasperated. Sigh I just wana win lol.

Shanny was hired in 2014 and we have lost 5 straight first round playoff series. Nobody is demanding they blow it up. The core was given 1/2 the cap when the cap was expected to rise steadily. Well it won't for 5 years so react. Sorry, I'm not buying Dubas and Shanny saying they will win with this core.

I have suffered plenty long enough. I also realize that this is the best GM we've ever had in my lifetime. Every other GM would've signed Hyman no matter what. We've also never had two centers this good and two wingers this good and at the same time to boot.

That's when Dubas will be relieved. In all my years of attending games I've never heard the fans grumble about the president.
