Look at our bottom6. Our 4th line is playing (great lol) 3rd line minutes. With or without Zubrus, we could use some depth.
Typical Lou move and we called it. I don`t think there`s a reason to complain about this, unless he didn`t get him for cheap. We`ll see I guess.
I`ve always liked his play and I kind of miss Italian names in the NHL so I definitely won`t complain.

I can't remember Lou ever being as active in the trade market as he has been the last two or so years. Even though they're bargain bin deals, he's made a lot of them.

I appreciate Clarkson as a player. Love what he brings as far as his grit and his intangibles. I've enjoyed watching him grow as a Devil. However, he's a poor skater and a poor shooter. And I think if the Devils pay him anything more than $5 million (even that's a stretch) they are signing up for long term pain.
If any player can drastically regress during their prime that player is Clarky. You sign him to score 30 goals and he suddenly scores 10. That's the kind of guy I think Clarky is.
I am being serious He tweeted yesterday or the day before that devils were making a move and no other insider said anything. And clarkson is trade able If zubrus comes back healthy and the new guy fits the system then moving clarkson for a good pick and player is very possible depending on the teams value of clarkson

I don't see it on his twitter. He put up 2 posts talking trade to promote his blog about the Devils and the trade deadline, he doesn't even seem to be claiming to have called the Devils were making a trade instead he says

My guess is he's just passing on the national guys saying Lou has been getting talking to about Clarkson.
Any GM should be fired if they don't inquire about Clarkson. He's an average-ish forward who's struggling on an average team with an expiring contract.
However, Lou's not gonna move him and we all know it, not unless it's for some sort of ridiculous overpayment, and even then I bet you Clarkson signs with New Jersey in the offseason. He's a Devil. He's Marty's best friend and Lou treats him like family and I doubt we ever see him in another jersey.

Basically, I don't see that as news at all. If the guy had tweeted the Devils were sending out feelers about Clarkson's value that'd be something else.
He's not going to fourth line, I just don't think so. Question is who moves off the right side? Kovy?
