I hate to be a grinch this time of year, but I say we back up the truck and sell like we're going out of business.
I know all you have to do is make the playoffs and anything can happen.
But really, is it that easy?
The West is making a mockery of the everyone. If we get in, if we get hot, if we make it through the Bruins and the Penguins, does anyone think we beat the team that makes it out of the West?
I've been watching this drama play itself out for almost 30 years. I don't believe we do.
This could be the most important season in recent Ranger memory because of the contract status of so many players.

Start now. Make all these guys available and hopefully touch off a bidding war. If we wait, guys could be injured when the deadline comes. Start making things happen now. It's too important to hang on to everyone and just see how we do. This is a season where we could restock this system if we play this right. Be the first domino instead of the last for a change.
