Just remember that when management inevitably throws them under the bus for their failings. You only show up to cry when you remember ways to blame literally everyone except our current goalies for losses.

Henrique was solid as a rookie, scored some timely goals last year despite playing through a high ankle sprain as a guy who already had limited wheels. Lets not act like Henrique didn't have a solid playoffs on the 3rd line. Would you not say Peca had a great playoffs in 2006 despite 11P in 24 games compared to 7P in 17 games for Henrique?
I can't believe you even tried to glaze over Kane's 2021-22 playoffs or Hyman's 3 playoff runs here. Hyman has 30 goals and 49 points in the last 3 playoff runs. Like what more do you want?
I don't think McD looked great either in that tournament or all season. He's been McD light.I didn't even begin to claim otherwise, but that entire argument of McDavid being "awful" or "looking at greener pasteurs" was some of the most idiotic shit I have ever read.
McDavid was very good in the game against Sweden so I really don't know what you're talking about. In a short tournament where chemistry was obviously lacking and in a tournament where we haven't had ideas of what lines might work due to 10 years of no best on best that's understandable. McDavid came out flying in game 1 and created chances almost every single shift.
Who was the better player in the playoffs last year, remind me?
Oh I'm not sure what he is saying lol but I deserve some of it I guess, my point is dumb. I just wanted a goalie upgrade this yearThe other poster was, and is still maintaining Rollie was the reason the Oilers lost the SC Final SERIES. Apparently it was Rolis fault when he was in hospital with a season ending injury after only playing part of game 1 in the series.
Sorry you got in the crossfire of that.
Im still rooting for Skinner 1000% and I think he could be good or bad come playoff time. Theres no certainty either way. It’s far from ideal, but I still would have believed in beefing up the D in front of him while his contract is affordable to try to win that way. Anyhow, we didn’t upgrade the defensive D or the G so it’s hard to be optimistic — we literally just need to bank on Skinner going hot. It has happened. Not what you want to be banking on, but I am rooting for it.
16 in 25 was a worse g/game than his regular season that yearHyman scoring 11 in 16 and 16 in 25 isn't elevating his game? Good grief you're a hard marker.

They come out of hiding on days like today to call us "too negative," and then crawl right back into Stan's gaping butthole when we're proven right yet again.
Christ, reminds me of that “I’m 40, I’m a man” coach.Dude your profile says you are 42, and you spend this much time trolling?
I’d love to see her do a hair toss before the game. This would be something to look at too in net. But I'm unlikely to see goaltending this attractive.
Nice equipment.
Put her in goal and shooters wouldn't even see the net. What net?

Sure, the player gap has narrowed considerably from Gretzy's era. Gretzky was already unseated at McDavid's age by Lemieux btw, albeit Lemieux is obviously in a different tier than McDavid's peers.I don't think McD looked great either in that tournament or all season. He's been McD light.
This is no mirage either. Its not just a recent thing
This is happening in prime of career McDavid era and when he's even been getting ton of pts on PP:
. NHL Stats
McD is a fantastic player but without a cup and with him being now unseated for long periods of time at top of table he's no Gretzky heritage thats for sure. The latter was top of the table by miles throughout prime. If McD wants to remembered as an alltime great he needs to get back to top.
Not saying he won't either but particularly in lack of goals past two seasons have been downturn.
I like Walman. I'm upset because I knew we were looking at a winger and struck out. Anyone that cares about this team should be upset. And yeah. I know people are blaming Bowman. But JJ is the one who created this massive conundrum.
Bowman still managed to get us a 3rd line banger, another good bottom six guy and a top 4 Dman which I did not expect. Also, Kane most likely will be back.
I'm a huge Walman fan so maybe thats why I'm not as upset as everyone else
Now tell me who has the most goals in a single playoff run in the past 30 years16 in 25 was a worse g/game than his regular season that year![]()
Take off the Homer goggles. Mackinnon WAS better than McD and has been this season and last regular season. It just is the case.
Canada doesn't even get out of game 1 win against Sweden the way McD was slow arriving in the tournament. As it was Canada needed OT W's in two of the games. Kinda reminded me of the Oilers except we had a goalie. The only reason Canada won.
Gretz had to deal with the adversity of 81, 82, 83 and 86. Wasn't easy back then either. In fairness to Gretz he also played pro hockey from age 16 on and against men trying to run him out of the rink. So that if he slowed down a wee bit at age of Connor McD he did so after already playing a dozen yrs pro hockey, deserves to be said. So apples to oranges. You are right that no Lemieux exists today.Sure, the player gap has narrowed considerably from Gretzy's era. Gretzky was already unseated at McDavid's age by Lemieux btw, albeit Lemieux is obviously in a different tier than McDavid's peers.
I think it's far too early to worry about this player is all I'm saying. He's been the best player of this generation in the playoffs. If he lays an egg these playoffs then sure get worried, but I can at least understand why he might be going through a lull this season after a heartbreaking game 7 loss in the cup final, his biggest dreams ripped away. When did Gretzky ever have to deal with that kind of adversity? He didn't because he had a very good management group that surrounded him with HHOFers and had some of the best rosters to ever exist in NHL history.
Yeah I legitimately can't believe what I'm reading after watching that game. He created like 6 grade A chances in the first period alone.McDavid came out of the gates red hot against Sweden and showed more energy than he had here all year. Not sure which game you were watching.
Was it Kane? If so that was against Calgary and that doesn’t count. Now tell me who has the most goals in a single playoff run in the past 30 years![]()
The saving grace is that Vegas didn't get drastically better. Round 3 and 4 are hard, but our path to round 3 didn't get harder.
Hopefully those good teams bang themselves up a bit.
The Oilers need to start playing better. Let's hope they get their game going down the stretch here.
That tweet of hi was good enough. They probably thought they got Marchand. The saving grace is that Vegas didn't get drastically better. Round 3 and 4 are hard, but our path to round 3 didn't get harder.

Oh no feelings hurt at all. Going after Roli because of your obsession with defending a bad goalie is just weird. They did…sorry I hurt your feelings
No team should lose up 3-0 late into the 2nd period
A definition of a choke job
Yeah I was. But we can't do anything about. Plus its not like we didnt do anything. We shored up our top 4 and our bottom sixYou were stomping your feet all TDL.
It’s not a good thing that our team fails almost every TDL.
How your objectivity could ever be questioned after reading this incredibly astute insight is an absolute mystery.Seemed like a lot more earlier in the day. Just ask the absolute donkey-brain who several pages ago told me "to read the room."

I pay little attention to ineffectual energy. McD comes shooting out of a cannon almost every game. he's become more of a predictable player than he's been in the past, and with that a player that is being contained much more than he has been in the past. Futile rushes that don't work don't do a lot for me.McDavid came out of the gates red hot against Sweden and showed more energy than he had here all year. Not sure which game you were watching.
