Some middle to late range 1st round guys are growing on me. I wouldn't mind a Hensler, Murtagh, Lakovic in the 20s if the flames pick ends up a WC spot and a 1st round exit. I think a guy in the teens will fall down to a low 20s spot for us. It doesn't look like the habs pick will land us a top 6 guy. That's a shame and would've been huge for the rebuild.

That's why you got put in a great package to a team like Nashville or Pittsburg

Im not a believer of Carbonneau’s hockey IQ to be anything else than a bottom 6 player.

Rather try Martin, Bear, etc

Bobrov was at Sherbrooke vs Moncton game Friday by the way

As an Ontarian, I usually don't care about where players come from but Habs should be doing anything (reasonably) to land Desnoyers. He would be a great addition to the 2nd line for a long time and he's just solid everywhere. The type of player you need to go on deep runs in the playoffs

Best case scenario as of right now, Habs draft 8OA and Calgary 12OA. If that’s the case, I hope we can use those 2nd rounders to move up to 6OA and 10OA.
6OA: Desnoyers/Frondell
10OA: Mrkta/O’Brien

They would have sold off UFAs and rode Primeau then cause I don't see them being able to trade up high enough now.
Nobody is gonna want to drop from that top 6 or 7.

Habs are in a position where they can afford to throw out an insane package to a team more interested in quantity than quality. Include all of their first four picks and a few prospects and that should do it honestly. A team like Pittsburg or Nashville would probably do it cause neither of them have a very good pipeline or future
