MSL's family lives in Rangerland in CT. His home is a short drive from the Rangers practice facility.

If he didn't, key here. I think that is all more than obvious. However, given all the clues, who do YOU think it would be that fits everything he said, IS available without an X factor, and makes sense for both teams? I'll be waiting.

Oh wait, your theory is his Twitter account is hacked. Occam's Razor. ;)
 
one more hint i live in connecticut, and in my town st.louis skates with richards and a few other rangers over the summer at the town rink
 
If Tampa is going to trade for a rental player who is signing in Buffalo this summer than that means they want to win now. If they want to win now why would they trade MSL? Just to have Callahan for 3 months. Doesn't make sense. Unless you guys add something else.

Yeah, and possibly Anton Stralman or Dan Girardi being replaced by Dan Boyle as a free agent.

I don't think Brad Richards is getting bought out.
 
Lotta people assuming that the Olympic snub is or would be the only reason. For all we know it was the last straw. Or it could be family related. We have no clue could be a combo. This could go back as far as blowing out lecavalier.

Could be a few issues we just don't know about

we know it makes absolutely no sense, but it appears that Boomer is pointing at MSL
 
Worth mentioning that the "reuniting" could just as easily be Olympics teammates. Or guys that played together in college, juniors, etc

They have to fit the other criteria though. SBoB mentioned MaxPac, McD connection. The only problem is Boomer said not on a long-term deal. MaxPac doesn't fit that.

Again, Boomer also respects this player greatly, how many players command that?

Maybe it's for family / personal reasons... Maybe he plans on hanging up his skates when his contract expires and wants to play his last full season for an original six team, thus being able to scratch that off his list of career goals. Tampa gets some grit/physicality and leadership in return for their playoff appearance without looking like they're just dumping MSL... Heck, I don't know to be honest :)

No. His family lives in CT the whole season. If I had a choice between raising my kids in Tampa vs Greenwich, I'd choose Greenwich every time. Standard of living, crime, and education.

It's not unusal for men to care about their families and wanting to be close to them. This is what will drive the trade, not the Olympic snub. Remember Pronger asked for a trade because of family reasons.

Places like San Jose, Nashville, Carolina, St. Louis offer players similar options to CT or Long Island. Bergen county in NJ too.
