I agree on Halak. But if they're going to trade for Brodeur, you think it would be smart to stiff him before the move? He obviously wants this. I"m sure it was non-negotiable...

Stepan REALLY worries me about playing in this kind of system, his big 1/2 season last year came in a Torts laid back system. Does STepan have the creativity, skating, and talent to play in AV's? I'm honestly not so sure.

Well we know he doesn't have this...

Trading Stepan for Kesler is a huge risk. Steps is younger and more durable. Kesler however plays with more intensity and edge. Kesler is Stepan's ceiling, (albeit a less chippy version), a 60-70 point centre who won't wow you offensively but puts up solid numbers and does his part defensively.

Down the road for sure and no way would Callahan allow that to go down. He's looking for a retirement contract.
