There's nothing to discuss. Saying you'd give up UFA Callahan, who is also starting to slow down, for signed to a good deal Kesler, and no more, is a non-starter and not worth mentioning. It's not even close.

I think he just meant that every team wants to maximize its return. His example was just a hyperbole of that point. (Please correct me if I'm mistaken.)

Exactly. I worry that the longer it goes without us hearing they did not come to an agreement the more likely it is they come to one. On the other hand the first time we hear anything could be when they announce he has been dealt. So who knows?
