This schedule is pretty daunting and they're 3-6-1 in their last 10.
Would likely have to go on a 5 game winning streak soon to convince Francis they're playoff worthy

I think I want to go back to the Verhaeghe-Bennett-Tkachuk line in the playoffs because they were so deadly. Literal giant killers. Need that presence back this year if they want to go on a run again IMO.

That means finding a guy for Reinhart and Barkov. Doesn't need to be someone at the level of Guentzel as that price would likely be too high, but I'd love to see Blake Coleman up there with those two. He'd create even more space for them but again, that price is probably going to be high given the season he's having.

He's a steal at $4.9 but ya that would mess with the UFA plans. Would be an even steeper price to ask CGY to retain salary.

he's 32 with 3 more seasons after this one, having an unsustainable career year with a 17% shooting percentage. I would stay away as that'll become an anchor contract pretty quickly.

Both will definitely fetch a 1st rounder. Guentzel is still just 29 and although due for a pay raise, should fetch a ton from the team that acquires him.
