I don't think Giroux was a mistake. He performed. We don't beat Washington without him. He helped carry. And who knows if Zito trades for Tkachuk if we don't get swept by Tampa.

Zito has been a lot better at talent acquisition than Dale, who I liked a lot, but had a unhealthy fetish for former Hawk players and holding onto prospects.

Same here a genuinely good all around hockey player. IQ off the charts, can shoot, pass, elite defensively, elite on face-offs can play wing and center. Still very much at the top of his game.

I actually HAD ignored Idiot Stick, of course totally inadvertently!! (I haven’t even ignored vendetta so that proves it was a mistake. Everyone would ignore vendetta before Idiot Stick.)

And the Penguins GDT thread popped right up. Amazing…
