I didn't see a fan vote.
Though I'm not against the idea of dealing Benning for some help at the deadline. I just don't see a 5 foot 9 or whatever defenseman making an impact in this league with this team.

There's also Laughton and Granlund out there. Granlund has 30 pts in 40 games and could probably be had for a 3rd.

I actually think Pacioretty would be a good fit. Defensively responsible, good scorer. Keeps Verhaeghe on the 2nd line, Rodriguez on the 3rd, and Cousins on the 4th. Was also a point per game player for 3 seasons as a golden knight.
Unfortunately, that was 2 years ago. He's played 22 games between now and last season and hasn't been fully healthy in 5 years. Who knows how his game has been affected now. I mean, it's low risk granted we get him for a reasonable price.

I had a dream last night that we acquired Pavel Dorofeyev from Vegas. Don't think that will happen since he is on IR and why should Vegas even trade him. The funniest part of the dream though was that Goldy and Randy had the hardest time pronouncing his name correctly. We already have Luostarinen, we should not make life harder for them than it already is

2025 2nd + Mahura + Asplund + 2025 4th for Eberle with 500k retained.

I think Eberle would be a nice rental and worth burning a 2nd + Mahura who likely moves on with Balinskis getting his extension.
Kaliyev may be worth getting, he can score a fair bit and may not need to be elite defensively beside Luostarinen and Lundell, still has a couple years of RFA control. He can come in, learn the system and be ready for bigger role next year.
Am I way off here on prices and player fits?

Hasn't he been on the available list for a while now? Maybe he isn't now because of coaching change but all I see online is LAK fans screaming for him to be freed.
Most offers I see on here or elsewhere say a 3rd + prospect and a grinding type winger for him.

I haven't seen any of that, but my gut tells me he is worth more than that. He's still a former 1st rounder who has shown he can play in the NHL, albeit inconsistent. That's worth more than a 3rd plus prospect.

Type his name in Twitter and you'll see the rumblings of him being on trade block.
He was a 2nd round pick, 33rd overall but ya essentially a late 1st rounder.
It's basicslly two 3rds as Benning has improved on his 4th round pick value and Cousins would be an excellent depth add/style they apparently want in exchange.

Oh ok I didn't see that. Idk if Zito is gonna use the few assets we have though on a project. We're in win now mode. And Samoskevich is gonna have a hard time cracking next season's lineup as it is.
