Not trying to paint myself as an insider or anything, but I've heard from someone who is, who says we are deep in trade talks for Henrique. As gross as that is.

I don't think you have to worry because with the market he should definitely net a 1st which Florida can't trade. He does have a 10 team no trade list but that shouldn't be an issue for Verbeek.

We can still trade either Mackie or Knight, which may be more attractive to them. A late 1st won't be ready for 3-4 years. Sawchyn is also a top prospect.

Who forgave Yandle?

Of course he will screw us. It's Adam
Haha. I had the feeling most did, but I - and obviously you - never did!!! One of the dirtiest plays ever, just when we were finally back on the rise again!

We can find a better option than Henrique. Let's not play with our mojo

We forgave Yandle for basically killing Brandon Pirri at the peak of his career, so we might be able to forgive Henrique for this (as long as he does not screw us like Yandle at the end of his contract)
I already have, it was 12 years ago . I doubt we would have beaten LA anyway. Some never will though . I'm afraid of what we will give up though. I really don't want to give up on Knight, although I'd rather him than Lundell or Mackie.

That is indeed the biggest worry, how much we give up. Who could we get for a 3rd round pick plus a guy from our 3rd or 4th line except Lundell, Luostarinen and Stenlund? That is what we only should be willing to give up

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I would strongly consider moving Lundell for an upgrade at 3C. We are in win now mode and not in a position to wait years for him to maybe develop into something. Center depth wins championships, and having a third line C who can't produce at all will be a detriment in the playoffs.

Bring Frank the Tank with Adam and I feel good about the 2nd/3rd lines.

See if Zito can trade picks 5 years in advance like the NBA does lol

Kapanen,Zetterlund,Duclair, Pacioretty, Mantha,Armia, Evans, Olofsson, Krebs
Who would be your favourite? Pacioretty and Kapanen bring the most scoring ability, with Duke and Olofsson.

I always liked Armia, his style works in the POs and regular season. Stay away from Duke.

If we could get Pacioretty to play with Lundell and Luostarinen, that would be great - Pac can also move up to the 1st or 2nd if necessary.

Or Kapanen.

Selling on Lundell now would be ultimate sell-low moment though...and it would disrupt the current roster dynamic too much.

If we're adding a piece, can't be taking away from current roster that's currently tops in the league right now.
