According to insider trading, the Leafs are out on Hall and are still looking at goalies. Which is fine as Hall is probably the 3rd forward I want behind Schwartz (if hes available) and Nick Foligno. Too stand pat though at the forward position would be a mistake, There's upgrades available on either one of Simmonds and Thornton that would make our team better.

Lebrun says Leafs and Chicago have been talking to each other about Chicago potentially acting as a 3rd party in a trade. In the Athletic, Lebrun San Jose has also talked to the Leafs about this. Also he wonders if the Leafs engage with the Kings on Iafallo.

Seravelli said for now Leafs aren't in on Hall, but that could change. They were in on Granlund and before the trade Palmeri, but thats likely not happening now. It could be a quite deadline for the Leafs he says.

Leafs continue to monitor the goalie situation.

This seems like as the account says Leafs will stay quiet, and then jump in the last minute. Dubas is playing the media here. They won't tip their hand.

He didn't say they were out. More like they aren't pursuing him but it could change. Dubas isn't bluffing here and giving anything away.

Taylor Hall his last 3 seasons 102 games, 18 goals, -35

With 14 playoff games in 11 seasons
WITH 9 of those playoff games only happening because of a trade deadline transaction.
Otherwise he would sit at 5 career playoff games in 11 seasons.

Is he really the guy we think he is????

LeBrun: Inside how the NHL trade deadline is shaping up as deals begin to go down
At this point I think it'd be wise for the Leafs to wait as long as they need to to make a good deal. Apparently St. Louis is listening on Schwartz in case somebody overpays, but who knows to what degree that's actually true; they definitely were not expecting to be in the position that they're in now, and he's not at the minimal there for a playoff run if they don't even make it to the playoffs.

Continues to say we are in on Hall

That account credible?

It sure is. He's reliable. Just not humble.

That tax advantage after the league screwed teams like us. All for "parity" and "equality".

The league uses teams like us as cash cows to prop the trash teams up, but wants every cup to come out of places like Tampa, Vegas, Arizona, and Carolina.

Trash

Hall isn't the same player he was in his first few seasons. Zero interest from me. Would rather Kempe or Iafallo, Rakell, Laughton, and/or a few others available. There are lots of better choices.

They lost out on Palmieri. They're not the finalists for Hall. Nashville's probably keeping Granlund.

I'm going to ******* puke if it ends up being Dzingel or someone of that ilk.

I find it funny how the narrative changed from the Leafs being "all-in" this trade deadline to the Leafs standing pat

Other than re-upping with Edmonton after his ELC, Buffalo is the only team he chose. It's fair to question the latter from a competitive team perspective though. Still, he wouldn't be viewed as 'the guy' if traded here. Now, that's not to say I'd absolutely be in favour of acquiring him either.
