IMO management is letting him rot in the media and I don't think it's good for the culture they're trying to build there. I think it's terrible, and I don't see why Sundin is in Toronto if he's not stepping in to take care of stuff like this.

He's not going to be cheap and theres huge risk in resigning him.

If he does come here, its gonna be a fun ride though lol. The next few years are going to be crazy regardless.

TB getting him would be pretty harsh for our projection the next few years.

Montreal and Buffalo should continue to be very strong young teams, Florida will most likely bounce back with Barkov's return. TB is starting to get long in tooth but has somehow still kept winning lots. If they were to get Werenski, this would catapult them back into true contender status and make it much harder for us to get through this division.

We are not close enough to a cup for this trade, we just traded our future to make a playoff team. You must be making the BIG assumption that Matthews is staying and will score 55 goals. I think those days have past him, bad wrist, bad shoulder, etc.
It is not like ZW has been a superstar for 5 years, he is no Makar or even Schaffer.

The only way I trade for ZW is if AM34 and ZW assure me they are resigning here. If Leafs are willing to go all-in, AM34 needs to be all-in first.
