All of Dubas’ trades come out of left field. There’s definitely going to be some surprises tomorrow.
Hopefully this is the case.

He'll get claimed by somebody terrible (Buf or NJ).Is picking Mete up off waivers a no brainer? Marincin is currently on our 23 man roster, and he only makes $35K less than Mete. Mete >>> Marincin, and even if we don't plan on using Mete, he at least gives us a legitimate NHL defenceman to step in if we get an injury.
What's the downside? Unless we're trading for a legitimate upgrade over Dermott and planning to push him off the gameday roster.
A bit surprised in your takeThought you’d be a hard no on that one
I think Foligno would be great for the team on the ice but how much he has in the tank is what I am not sure of. He'd be a nice add and with retention a late first in a poor draft might not be asking too much.
I think Yzerman is the clear-cut #1 GM (gold standard), he doesn't have flaws only strengths. One thing I like about the Leafs management is they seem to learn from their mistakes (e.x. Kyles focus on defense, locker room chemistry, intangibles this season), hopefully it'll one day be them as a whole.I have no doubt he will turn Detroit around. He might be the best GM in the league.
As for Dubas I’m very happy with his drafting so far but it’s just too early. I have to see multiple guys having success in the NHL before he earns the credit for it. Looking good so far
Neither is Milan lucic. Same amount of points and more hits. Do you see him as an asset? Theres more to just hitting someone. Zach hyman isnt near the top of the hits list but he hits, doesn't back down and gets the puck back. He's not slower than Thornton. And yes he's still extremely physical. He would automatically lead our team in hits. Dude isn't afraid of anyone
Any team that gives up a first for Foligno deserves to be laughed at in my opinion
Not being able to like posts is basically just part of being a Leafs fan on here. Lol.Wow. I would like this post but my "Liking" abilities got taken away by a Mod
why is everyone certain this is a tomorrow thing lolFoligno would be a terrific add. Fun to see what happens tomorrow

Nothing to suggest that in his short time in Detroit. The Tampa tax advantage will always play a factor into how the Lightning were built and maintained.I think Yzerman is the clear-cut #1 GM
Yes...and hopefully it won't be us.
So he would have some of the worst possession numbers on the team? Wonderful. He's not slower than Thornton. And yes he's still extremely physical. He would automatically lead our team in hits. Dude isn't afraid of anyone

The more often you hit, the less often you’d have the puck.Yeah cuz that's clearly what that means
Bud I've seen his entire career. The guy isn't worth a first anymore. He cant keep up with any of our top 3 lines. And yeah statistically it's an excellent comparison because they match up identically.Give me a break. Nick Foligno is a far better player than Milan f***ing Lucic. What a garbage comparison. Clearly, you have never watched Nick Foligno play because he's also a guy who doesn't back down and wins a ton of board battles.
You don't see team lining up to give up a 1st for Lucic do you. The AVS, CAPS and also other teams are willing to include a 1st. That should say something
They were in rough shape when he got there, still pulled out these:Nothing to suggest that in his short time in Detroit. The Tampa tax advantage will always play a factor into how the Lightning were built and maintained.
