lol dubas going all in with "leadership"/"intangibles this year, if the rumour is true about foligno.
Yzerman has been damn good, he'll turn Detroit around; they won't go through a Buffalo. That is definitely bias. Look at what Tampa does with their picks outside the first round.
I’m sure there are many other GMs with a better drafting resume right now.
I’m not saying Kyle and the Leafs are bad just unproven so far. No one he has drafted has proven anything in the NHL yet

Lol the Leafs are rumoured to be in on every trade, let's see what happens. The only they weren't rumoured for was Riley Nash lol
As he should. The constant 1st rd exits....they weren't due to lack of skill. We have enough of that. You need other intangibles to winlol dubas going all in with "leadership"/"intangibles this year, if the rumour is true about foligno.
Winning track record? As he should. The constant 1st rd exits....they weren't due to lack of skill. We have enough of that. You need other intangibles to win
A useful PK would have been nice in both the Boston seriesAs he should. The constant 1st rd exits....they weren't due to lack of skill. We have enough of that. You need other intangibles to win

I have no doubt he will turn Detroit around. He might be the best GM in the league.Yzerman has been damn good, he'll turn Detroit around; they won't go through a Buffalo.
I for one would not mind giving up a 1st for Foligno. This is the year to go for it.
Dubas has made Locker Room Leadership and Grit a priority going back to the Trade deadline. Nick Foligno checks both boxes.
I understand the intangibles that Foligno brings but I wouldn't love giving up a 1st for a rental.
I'mm all for going for it but if we are moving a 1st i'd hope for a better player
We sorted out our locker room in the off-season
For sure. I'm not saying they can't get it, I'm just not sure I want to be the team to give it up. Unless it's a larger deal? You also have to factor in retention. No ??
I agree, but giving up a first to have someone play in the bottom 6, yikesIf we do get Foligno, please keep him away from the top 6. Rather have Hyman and Gally at the wingers there.
A 1st for Foligno in my opinion this year is worth it. Leafs are legit this year, not to mention the 1st is more of a crapshoot this year with COVID then in past years. Leafs are still pretty loaded with good prospects - Lily, Sundin, Robertson, Amirov etc. Really won’t impact us much. Foligno on the other hand is a slightly worse version of Hyman and meaner. That I think makes us a very tough team to beat
I'm fine with just a 1st but I'd be worried about the 3rd team retention if it's at the same salary/pick rate as the Savard trade (about 125k/4th).I for one would not mind giving up a 1st for Foligno. This is the year to go for it.
