I can not believe the Browns. They waited 20 years for a guy who could at least competently play QB. And they run him out of town- a guy who actually EMBRACED playing there. I don't even blame them for trrying to upgrade, but the way they went about it was such that they will be left with nothing. It's incredible to me.

It’s honestly impressive how much of a disaster the Browns always are. Like you said, I don’t blame them at all for wanting to upgrade. But you better be sure you’re getting Deshaun Watson since that whole process has been so public.

At the very least, keep it as private as possible on your side. Don't leak that you want "an adult" at QB. Just simple shit, but they can't help but get in their own way

true but right now QB play is the only reason they are not a true contender

I call BS. He played with a destroyed shoulder last year. The year prior, they gave KC a hell of a game on the road in the playoffs.
They have a great running game and solid defense. Baker is their weakness.

Yea I just listened to the Jack interview. Think whatever you want about the coaching aspect, but when it comes to players, he’s a huge draw.

Rather go OT, the premium position on OL, then center in the first round. I have some suspicion that Linderbaum might be a produce of Iowa's pharm enhancement program.

I don't disagree. Penning and Jordan Davis are the two guys I think we could get the most from initially. I don't think Linderbaum is a product of anything. I think he's a great lineman. I don't think he makes it past 15 or 16 at the Eagles.

Both linemen they signed have played center at some point. I'd be shocked if green ever lined up at center again. I don't see them taking linderbaum. Tomlin will have a defensive player he will want or possibly a QB falls to them. If they go line it will be LT. moore is average at best if he improves.

James Daniels press conference, he sounds like a center. Wickedly intelligent and well spoken. He has a relationship with Trubisky, and from everything I'm reading, they are going to try him there initially. This line would be really fun to watch with a coach like Munchak. So much young potential.

Moore-Dotson-Cole-Daniels-Chuks.

It’s a pretty good line, TBH, and a lot of people in the org and outside of the org really like Moore. I could see Green replacing Dotson at some point.

I think the draft is D heavy and WR.

It's a really decent line. I think it gives Green the opportunity to be a swing guy, which will be phenomenal for him and his development.

It's going to be nice to have a bunch of options are C though. If we can land Penning and then move Moore to RT, that would be great.

To me though, Jordan Davis is now the biggest impact player we could land. We also need Tuitt back. Unless one of the top corners falls...then that would be the best pick for us.

And he actually played pretty good up until his injury woes last year.

Like the way you're thinking. But Penning & Davis have been moving up draft boards for weeks, and are expected to go in the top 15 picks now that FA has solidified draft needs for many teams.

Either @ 20 would be a huge win for our side IMO.

I don’t think Davis gets out of the top 10. His draft stock is way up and everyone nationally won’t stop talking about him.

I really don't like what I see out of Davis as an NT. He doesn't use his power much, most plays that I watched where he got into the backfield, he used slide moves. That might work as an end here, but we need a Casey Hampton style NT, I like Mathis from Alabama.

Every year there are 35 guys in the top 20. DeCastro, Pouncey, Heyward...all guys who were supposed to be gone well before we picked.

That being said, I agree with you. I just think someone is going to drop to us, and I think it's going to be a really good player. We just can't get too cute with it. I think they get entirely too cute. Green instead of Meinerz was a perfect example.

I'm happy we got Witherspoon re-signed. I do have concerns about him or Levi Wallace being the #1 CB. I'd certainly consider a high upside CB fairly early in the draft as insurance but I like the fact that Witherspoon and Wallace are both 6 foot or bigger, long CB's that should be hitting their primes at 27 years old.

Joe Haden's likely gone now. It was a good run for him in Pittsburgh. We really struggled to find solid CB play in the years before we signed Haden and I thought he helped with that. It was nice of the Browns to be the Browns and screw up by letting him go. He falls right into our lap and gives us 5 very solid years at CB.

The Mayfield/Cleveland drama is hilarious. More Browns being the Browns. Not sure what they do now. I could see Jimmy G. getting traded there or Matt Ryan (If Watson chooses Atlanta). Maybe they draft Willis or Pickett now. They do pick relatively high at #13.

As far as CBs go, doesnt anyone find it ridiculous that this front office is very good at finding pro CBs and terrible at draft amateur CBs. Its weird right?
