Awesome awesome awesome signing. 26 year old tackling machine. He will really help the cause.

If they could land a legit starting corner, that would be icing on the cake. They have a solid draft, and it could be a real quick retool.

We need to rely heavy on the RPO and Defense. Looks like we’re planning to do just that. This could be a fun year even if we don’t make much noise. It’ll just be a fresh look for a change.

Canada is running out of excuses. If this offense sucks by week 6, he should be shit canned.

People want Gilmore but he's 31 and not worth the investment at that age. I'd love to steal Rasul Douglas from GB. 26 and he was an absolute stud down the stretch for them. We add another CB and I'll feel better about them not picking one in the first few rounds.

They need to hammer OL/DL in the draft regardless. Build the trenches up, let Trubisky run the team for a year and then look for a QB in 2023. Whoever you bring in will have a slew of talent around them and hopefully a better than average, if not outright good OL.

There’s a possibility they rework Shobert’s deal to keep him since he played with Jack in Jacksonville. Decent insurance in case Bush doesn’t return to pre-injury form.

Still need to address:
SS
WR
DL
RB and TE depth
Can make an argument they still need a #1 CB
QB4

Kind of surprised the Cowboys haven’t re-signed Jayron Kearse yet. Wouldn’t be a bad player to snipe if they can manage it. Would be an upgrade over Edmunds.

If they can land a corner, they have pretty much covered a majority of their bases. DT and LT/RT would be their biggest needs.

It will also be curious to see what would happen if Linderbaum falls. Are they comfortable with the guys they just signed to play C? Are they comfortable with Green playing C and continuing to develop?

Rather go OT, the premium position on OL, then center in the first round. I have some suspicion that Linderbaum might be a produce of Iowa's pharm enhancement program.

Both linemen they signed have played center at some point. I'd be shocked if green ever lined up at center again. I don't see them taking linderbaum. Tomlin will have a defensive player he will want or possibly a QB falls to them. If they go line it will be LT. moore is average at best if he improves.

Moore-Dotson-Cole-Daniels-Chuks.

It’s a pretty good line, TBH, and a lot of people in the org and outside of the org really like Moore. I could see Green replacing Dotson at some point.

I think the draft is D heavy and WR.

They’re all decent players. Can they be coached up by their position coach to be successful in the offense Canada wants to run? That’ll be the question.

The longer guys like Edmunds, Witherspoon, and JuJu are out there, the cheaper they should be too. If they bring back all of those guys or someone similar, you can really do whatever you want in the draft. There would definitely be some areas to improve, but no glaring holes on the roster.

Also have the Steelers ever had a really good tackle? It seems like everyone for as long as I can remember has either been average to a little above average.

This has been a very nice start to the offseason. Glad they started checking some of these boxes so quickly instead of waiting around to see what falls into their lap, too. There are still some areas to improve, but if Tuitt and Alualu come back, they really only need a SS. The rest is just depth types or upgrades.

Well...and QB . Trubisky is alright, but he still limits how high their ceiling is.

This is a very atypical Steelers offseason. They usually wait a week or so until craziness dies down and the numbers are more sane.
Kudos to Colbert. I'm also certain Tomlin had a hand in recruiting these guys so he should get credit too

Marvel Smith? above average guy

i would love it if they drafter a solid tackle in the first 2 rounds

Ben at his best was extending plays and such anyway. The Steelers never prioritized a premium LT to protect him. Nor did Ben really make a fuss about it. He would have preferred we pay his weapons (Bell & Brown) vs his line aside from Pouncey and DD

Feel like we need more than a depth receiver with just Johnson and Claypool around.
