Even if Tuitt returns (which he won't), a starting D-line of Tuitt-Alualu-Heyward is pretty dang old. Adams is a solid backup and Loudermilk showed promise. Beyond that, its pretty stark. This unit needs youth and depth in a bad way. If they can't sign anyone, the Steelers need to draft a d-lineman in the first two rounds.

There have been a lot of conflicting reports so who knows, but I don’t think it’s as sure as what you’re saying.

And if he does come back, a room of Heyward, Alualu, Tuitt, Wormley, Loudermilk, Adams, and one of the Davis brothers is above average. It could use some youth but it doesn’t have to be addressed really early in this year’s draft.

I don’t think anyone realistically expects them to be contenders so they really have these next two drafts plus free agency to shore up their roster. They don’t have to focus on any particular position this year.

Can't remember what it was, but last year this person tweeted something that was so far from the truth regarding the Steelers

Will have to find it

She’s hit or miss for sure but Kevin Colbert also said recently at a combine interview that he’s expressed interest in wanting to come back. So unless he’s also lying for whatever reason, it’s not a slam dunk he isn’t returning.

Neither of those two have proven to be very reliable sources. So who knows.

Yeah it’s kind of a weird situation but Kevin Colbert has also said something about him expressing interest in returning and I would consider him pretty reliable. We’ll see. It doesn’t seem like anyone has any good information on Tuitt.

She’s the “NFL insider” for us. At least nationally portrayed that way. She’s on several shows every week and whatnot.

Not that she knows everything, but just pointing that out.

Cox has a cheap contract cap hit wise. I would want him also. cause the Eagles restructured it so much they will have way to much dead cap to move him.

He does? 14.9 mil cap hit to me is not cheap. I do agree, if they do anything with him it won’t be til after June 1st, the cap hits don’t make sense to trade or cut him prior to that date.

He’s in the mold of Steven Nelson. Shutdown type corner that has average ball skills. I like it. He was targeted the most out of any CB on the Bills and gave up a few TDs but he’s overall solid.

I’m hoping they still sign Witherspoon. Witherspoon, Wallace, and Sutton is a pretty decent cornerback group.

This will be an unpopular opinion but I also hope they re-sign Edmunds. And if the money is right I wouldn’t mind JuJu coming back either.

Rumors out there that the Browns may try to move on from Mayfield even if they don't land Watson.

No that’s what would stay with Philly since the restructure you would get him for his 2.2 million in 22 and 1.5 million in 23. If he is traded before June 1st the eagles lose 26 million in cap

Yeah, I liked what Witherspoon brought in the second half last year, especially from a ball skills standpoint. On the other hand, I think he and Levi Wallace are both more #2 CB's. Not sure I'd want either of them going against the other team's best WR. I'm kind of concerned about that #1 CB spot. Might have to hit that position early in the draft unless they make another signing.

I feel the same way about Juju. I think he, Claypool and Johnson are all best suited to be #2 WR's. Not sure I want to spend a bunch of money on Juju with two other #2 WR's already on the team. I'm actually hoping they can find a more dynamic WR somewhere in the first 3 rounds of the draft.

Edmunds is fine. I wouldn't hate him being back if it were a reasonable deal. I'd aim higher first. There are some rumors out there that we've looked into Tyrann Mathieu. I know he's 30 and he may not want to come here if he wants to play for a contender or something but it's fun to think what he and Minka could do as a safety tandem. They'd probably be the most dynamic safety duo in a long time.

I do not not how true this is, but the UGA pro day is on Wednesday. Tomlin and Colbert will likely be there. This is from #Steelers

On Colbert/Tomlin Pro Day watch tomorrow. Georgia's Pro Day is at 8 AM. Whole NFL will be attending.

Reminder every Steelers' first round pick since at least 2010 has had Tomlin and/or Colbert at his Pro Day workout. #Steelers

So I'm very onboard with a NT/DL in the first round. I did some scouting on Jordan Davis last night, red flags abound. I was expecting to see Haloti Ngtata, what I found was a more athletic version of Dan McCullers. Not saying he's going to be a bust, but my desire is that someone that size should be smashing through blockers, his tape doesn't show that. It's more side stepping off of poor OL technique.
