I'll have to take that back. The list I looked at is a few days old. Still, I wouldn't splash on Boyd given this team's ability to hit in the draft at WR. If Wilson looks good this year, they'll need money to keep him.
You absolutely need to get a WR, we have too many needs that can't be filled by the draft solely.

Yeah. I said Chark would be a good get and I don't think price/productivity ratio from him to Boyd is worth the cost of Boyd.
I'd prefer Boyd, they're likely gonna go with a two WR set more than not. So prefer to get a bit more quality in those top two.

William Bosemen Allen. They have Anderson and. Ryan mcloum in house at c

Who?

I doubt the difference between Chark and Boyd is gonna be that big. Certainly not in the context of maybe giving Wilson a lot of money.

Chark has missed a lot of time in his career. If he stayed healthy, he'd probably be fine, but Boyd seems a little more reliable in that sense. I guess it would depend on what the cap space was being used for, but I think that reliability is worth additional cap, especially given how thin the WR corp will probably be.

Reynolds still hasn't signed anywhere, right? He's still my #1 choice, cap dependent.

He didn't have Burrow. Have to look at what he did before that. He'll get a bag.
He's a good player and I'm interested in him, but he's been a WR3 for several seasons now, hasn't had over 1,000 yards in 4 consecutive, and is going to be 30 years old. That's not the player that is going to get a big contract.

$18M would put him T-18th highest paid WR

Freiermuth is more than adequate enough to be the #2 pass option option. Frankly...he should be.

Good lord, the copium.

There's nothing inconsistent with the idea that Tomlin is going to act normally, act positively with problem players. That he's going to bring a lot of positive energy to guys he thinks reacts better to an arm around the shoulders than a clout around the ear, or that he's going to be a lot more positive about players in public than he is in private. This isn't a strong refutation.

For the idea it isn't made up -

Three different journalists have said words to this effect (DeFabo floated the idea he could be traded as part of a culture change before Kaboly and Pauline even started reporting the Steelers were listening to offers)

It is consistent with previous reports of bad behaviour

And it is consistent with the Steelers opting to deal him for what everyone acknowledges isn't a great price.

The guy wanted out and the Steelers were happy to oblige as he was acting the maggot. Is that hard to believe?

If you criticize Tomlin for ANYTHING, Big Daddy is ready and willing to go to the mat!

I was about to comment about the Ridder to Arizona trade, and say that "if you could get a Moore caliber WR for Pickett, I'd do it", only for me to realize that Moore is not nearly as good as I thought he was

But still, I think that Ridder trade paints a very clear picture of what Pickett's value would be if you traded him: like a WR3/4.

Speaking of trades, you wonder what kind of value Dan Moore has around the league?

I don't think that's the best mindset for this team to have particularly when they don't throw over the middle much. We need another stud WR.

Sam Howell to Seattle to serve as their backup, I was expecting them to take Penix to backup Smith but Howell also makes a ton of sense.

The compensation for him was basically the equivalent of a late 3rd/early 4th. I think that's pretty spot on for what I figure they'd get back for Pickett if they moved him.
