He's such an agent mouthpiece it makes me cringe whenever he posts anything, but that said, this is pretty significant.
This happened in Denver before Payton got there. When Payton came in he was sure to nix thatLove sat behind a GOAT, so this isn’t even close to comparable.
You don’t bring in a guy for “competition” if you truly believe in your QB.
If KP doesn’t win the starting job, they need to move on after next season and start the process all over again.
Just read a blurb from Madden that RW has his own office and doesn’t go in the locker room… that has to be BS… right?
It hasn’t even opened yet. Still another hour. The only deals that can be actually agreed on are dudes that got cut.Always funny how deals are agreed to minutes after the ‘tamper’ window opens
Hate the Wilson move from a direction and drama perspective but I also get it. He’s better than Tannehill, Rudolph, Mitch, etc etc and costs a mil vs 5-10M. I would say Baker is comparable and he’s making $30+ mil next year (age aside). And I actually think Russ is still solid to good as far as QBs.
If they use the savings wisely it gets better.
I just think it’s brutal for finding a future QB and doesn’t get them closer to SB contention. Whether it’s Pickett or another draft pick, idk how this helps you get here. Any KP struggles at all and the calls for RW will be loud (assuming KP is even the starter). You could potentially bottom out for with a struggling Pickett too, and get a high pick. I don’t see them losing more than 8-9 games with Wilson on the roster.
I’m the most confident in our FO out of any part of the org but idk about this.

I'll disagree here. Higgins is a #1 on many teams and is far more valuable to that offense than what they can get in trade. It'd be a major step back if they lose him.Cap era you can only pay 1 WR if you have a franchise QB making big money.
Bengals are smart to only give 1 WR what he asks for. Steelers generally operated the same way with Ben eating up their cap

Florio at the 5 min mark is having a tough time accepting that the Steelers beat writers are all clowns with no real inside information

Yeah for sure. Just not sure that’s the right move. I would’ve let KP sink or swim this year.To reiterate this point, the Wilson signing definitely indicates they/FO are ready and willing to move on from KP. Which has nothing to do with KP, himself. It's more the fact that it's critical in the NFL to move on from 1st RD QB's quickly vs holding onto hope.
And obviously, he wasn't given the starter's role out of the gate:

He wanted the best opportunity to cash out in 25. The offset language only covers 24. He could still get a 3 year deal if he balls outI'm guessing with him taking the one year deal, he didn't have many offers.
Not Sure Philly and Miami will probably pay both Smith and Waddle next year while paying their Qb.To reiterate this point, the Wilson signing definitely indicates they/FO are ready and willing to move on from KP. Yeah, it's insane to me that anyone would complain about this signing. Unless you still somehow believed in Kenny Pickett being the guy.
For $1.2m the bar is literally on the floor.
Said it before, but it really is refreshing that Khan seems wildly more proactive in addressing this teams flaws. Kenny's performance the last 2 years was simply unacceptable.
