They make bets on guys who have above average contact ability and above average power. These players often get overlooked by other teams because they aren’t typically great/elite at any one facet.I'm constantly baffled at just how Tampa is able to have as much success as they have with the way they operate. I'm come to appreciate the way they develop talent and get the most out of guys on a shoestring budget.

Good point. I think his command was going there towards the end before he had surgery.Command is always the last thing to come back so if he's already dotting corners then I wouldn't even care about a bump from that velo. Just give us some Rich Hill type production
I suspect that he won't have a long leash. If it does not go well it could be a short stay with the big club.That surprises me.
