I refuse to believe this is what he is. Severely underperforming his expected stats when every year he has performed on par with his peripherals. If this was an ever year thing like Kendrys Morales okay, but this just looks extremely unlucky.

The problem is I don't think it is bad luck that is holding him back this year. He consistently swings at dog shit pitches that he can't do any damage on but is still naturally talented enough to hit the shit out of. He needs to improve his swing decisions and this is year two of this being a problem for him. I am hopeful that at some point he will figure it out but I don't think it is a lock he does either. Certainly no world where he is getting any kind of mega extension though, that ship has sailed away.
