The amount of better options out there are in the double digits, but Chuckle Cuck and the Cronies have made this such an undesirable place to be that they likely aren't even in the running for guys like Trotz and Cassidy. Probably not even guys like DeBoer or Maurice either.

Torts and Tocchet are the only two potential hires where i'll have no desire whatsoever in watching the team next season.

The Flyers were the 6th most valuable NHL franchise in 2021, and frankly, that's going down. The writing is on the wall with STHs and attendance and TV ratings. These coaches have legacies they want to cement; it doesn't take a genius to see the Flyers are not trending in the right direction.

I just don't think the high end coaches can be swayed by this mythical blank check. Hell, teams like the Hawks and Bruins are worth more than the Flyers. What makes the Flyers unique in the year of our lord 2022? They're still paying Vigneault $10 million. Again, Dave Scott was publicly peeing down his leg in anticipation of Quenneville -- you don't think the Flyers didn't match or best the Panthers offer? The Panthers are worth half the Flyers as a franchise, and they weren't even in great shape either then.

Comcast probably sees them as a loss leader, driving cable subscriptions so they can sell premium channels and the mobile/internet/cable package in a major market.
