Prospect Info: All-Purpose Prospect Thread v17.0

Latdis 2 g 1a=1st star of the game..He did dominate play but was key on a strong PP with a goal and assist there ...has axdeadkyvr
has a deadly quick release and a hard 1 timer and his 160 foot en goal was incredible.. I doubt any current Hawks player could do that ..most would miss the bet from that distance..
Vaacker's goal was the 4th touch after a 3 way tic tac toe by 3 of his team-mates and he just shot from the high skotcas the trailer coming in to finish off the attack..Wish Hawks had smart players like Vanacker who "follow up" the play and get a drop pass back
to them in a great shot positioning the middle intermdiate slot ...
.

Lardis would have had a 2nd en goal ss he was breaking out past Parekh in natural ice along the boards, but Parekh used a high stick into Lardis' face as he was about to get clear past him and break-away to the empty-net.Refs blew whistle and penalized Parekh but game was near end anyway... Brantford
just played keeo away till game over.

Earlier in the gane e Lardis akso used his speed to draw another penalty ...he seens to have that ability to put his team into PP situations as teams try stopping Lardis on the rush.

Misa ,as I said earlier, hit post and had 2 primary assists in the gane for Saginaw...apart from speed he as great vision and makes great passes like his cross-crease pass to Chernyshov who just tapped it in to a gaming cage ...

Misa did not really impress with dominating ragging the puck in lengthy puck control on rushes or controlling it long tines inthevo-zone..rather his pkays at the net had no build up..like are not noticing him but thebin a flash there he is at the net or putting passes across crease for scoring chances..

You know, Landon Slaggert was kind of a leftover prospect that was largely dismissed because he was an overager and didn’t produce big until his age told us that he should. Now he’s getting Brandon Hagel comps.

It really makes me think about Thompson, Harding, Greene, James. Like just because they aren’t Boisvert or Moore in college early doesn’t mean they are nothin prospects. These guys are all really playing good hockey right now. The depth of elite to above average prospects in the system means that fans like me are not even considering how good these “others” are or could be. They don’t even sniff our top 15 prospects but look at Slaggert… he was in that same spot

Maybe in regard to the larger hockey media.

But there's been at least a handful of us here that have been high on Slaggert the whole time.

It's literally impossible to watch him and not be a fan.

That will be a fun vote this year!

I'll raise my hand to being one of those posters. It's early but the skating, motor, and smarts translates to the NHL better than I expected.

It's always fun to take a look back at these prospect lists and see how poorly we are at projecting 18/19/20 year old players.

I dunno. Slaggert had a great freshman season, made the World Juniors as a 19 year old and was more productive than Oliver Moore was at that tournament. He was always on the radar as a potential third line forechecking energy guy for us, just never really took his game to the next level in college so the hype died down a little.

Knapp has played decently well for them too while Gajan was out injured. He's had a nightmare freshman year. UMD has struggled but he has been a massive part of that. I'd imagine Gajan continues to takes a back seat to Knapp
Those were the only 2 goals he gave up on 30 shots which meant bad. Just…..the first two shots going in is weird and makes it difficult for the team.

Tough year for him in the Allsvenskan just based on the numbers. .5 PPG is like.. an average season for a guy his age in that league. He's no where close to that.

I dislike Bader but for the stats crew he just came out with Lardis' card... Lardis has a Trocheck comp which actually makes a ton of sense to me.

Carter Verhaeghe? Jordan Kyrou?
Verhaeghe’s a blue collar type of player who’s skill really took off in the NHL and Kyrous more of a balanced attacker who drives play

I really struggle to think of one for Lardis, players of his archetype don’t often make it to the show unfortunately. I think he has to develop other dimensions to his game in order to carve out a long NHL career and at that point his comps/play style will probably be different if that makes sense

Right now, maybe like a Kubalik? Smaller/softer version but quicker. Guys who have an elite release who you don’t notice for much of the game until all of a sudden they have 2 goals
