I one again cannot overstate how much of a joke it is USA hockey won’t be able to have guys like Tage, Matthews, Robertson, Tkachuks, Hughes, Eichel, Gaudreau all play together in a tournament.

Pfft...how else are they supposed to grow the game? By allowing the best players in the world to compete in an international tournament that gets a ton of attention from people who normally wouldnt watch hockey?! Blasphemy.

Tage is the remaining piece to the Ryan O'Reilly trade and yes he has made me forget all about ROR.

Tuch has already made me forget about Eichel and Krebs is on his way to burying the EIchel trade in favor of the Sabres.

Im happy for the fans of Sabres, and also those players that stays with the franchise, because they want to fight for success. Eichel wasnt the right guy for that team. Sabrws I think is a collective kind of team. Its seldom good if therr is ONE superstar. A line is better to build around.

That’s what’s crazy- he hasn’t looked “on” since the break, yet he has 4 goals, 5 points in 3 games. 1 goal in the first game, murdered a post in the second, then just buried all his chances vs. Washington- his best play was the assist, which was just absolute Mario-esque magic.

Imo he’s overdoing the patience a bit lately, looking for the perfect play- when he settles into knowing when to shoot, pass, and stickhandle consistently he’ll be a force unlike any in the league. After a slow start he showed it for a long stretch, he just had a night vs. Washington, but he really still seems to be figuring out the prime play in various situations. He’s mentioned he wants to put on more weight as well- if he has the conditioning for it, jebus, he’s an absolute animal as is. Somewhat rusty after a weird break and he’s got a hat trick/game winner within 3 from the break, look out league.
