Tage Thompson when he is playing his game to his fullest potential is literally undefendable with his talent with the puck, physical skills and attributes.

Watching him last night he kinda reminded me of Laine. Blistering shot and good playmaking too.

Just finished watching the buf/was game. I'm without exception very slow at lauding players. Like crazy slow.

I have to say Tage is a star and IMO now a superstar. Can he excel beyond that? Who knows but I do know he's done enough in the last 2 seasons (this one being the 2nd) to unapologetically proclaim him in the group of players that are the best in the league. He has one of the best if not THE best one-timers (right there with Ovi and Stammer) and his puck-handling is right there with the best in that regard (lemieuesque isn't an overstatement).

IMO he and McDavid and Kucherov are the nightly must-watch players in the league (as much as I love watching Gaudreau, Crosby, Ovi, Stammer, Makar, Tkachuk and a few others).

Tage has outscored McDavid on a per-60 minute basis for an entire calendar year now. I don't think he's gone more than one or two games without a point -- never once went three games without a point in AN ENTIRE CALENDAR YEAR.

They are the best two players in the league right now, and may be for many years.

Im happy for the fans of Sabres, and also those players that stays with the franchise, because they want to fight for success. Eichel wasnt the right guy for that team. Sabrws I think is a collective kind of team. Its seldom good if therr is ONE superstar. A line is better to build around.
Sabres have an abundance of talent in the organization still to come up.
