Should the Kings answer the John Scott (SJ) signing?

these guys, and if we could take someone from the far past, i'd like to pick someone like The Hammer Schultz or Randy Holt, though it would be a big size differential with Scott, those two guys did their job well,
 
Guarantee if this poll were done three years ago it would be a lot closer to 50/50. There were many on this board who insisted that guys like Ivanans and Westgarth had a place on the roster, and were convinced that Lombardi valued goons. Amazing what winning two championships without a goon will do for some peoples outlooks. I honestly think this will be the last decade of the goon and ten years from now guys like Scott will not be in the NHL.

As for what's going on in San Jose, I don't even know what to say, it really feels like Doug Wilson has turned into Rachel Phelps and for whatever reason is trying to blow the team up.

I don't think so, Doug Wilson is Vanilla as they come. He has done nothing in San Jose.

That team needs to be blown up at the top (Thornton,Patty M) But Doug won't ever do it.

Its all relative, man. Calgary signing Engelland makes sense to a degree. They want a guy who will look out for some of the younger players while they are getting their feet wet. You can disagree that he'll be able to do anything but even if he makes the younger guys feel safer on the ice, he'll have accomplished something. San Jose doing it is pretty much a head scratcher. I have no idea what John Scott is there to do except cheer lead and sit in the press box.

Question for All: I am going to want to insert a few fight videos in this poll thread. How does one insert or attach a video that is ready to be played by just clicking on the play arrow button? Thx.

i.e. attaching a video, not a link to a video, thanks again,

more like the 1970's Kings, with the likes of D. Maloney, Terry Harper, Dave "the Hammer" Schultz, Randy Holt, Don "Crazy" Kozak, Bert Wilson, and my long time favorite, Dave Hutchinson, who fought Tiger Williams (Leafs) so often, that the League Office had a word with both players to lighten up =)

2. Post a poll there with the thread title: "If Dogs Could Play Hockey, What Breed Would Best Represent Sidney Crosby?" (don't worry, the thread will be taken seriously there)

3. Populate the poll with the following species:
a. Great Dane
b. German Shepard
c. Pomeranian
d. Poodle
e. Lassie

Don't listen to others, they don't know what they're talking about. You've hit the mother lode with this poll. And believe me, we're going to have many spinoffs from this one gem of a poll.

Hear me out:

Start by breaking down the goons poll by the decades in which they've played (fought) in. I'd start with the 70s, then the 80s, 90s etc.

Then the final poll, (unless we can come up with a doozy of an idea for another spinoff) could be the poll with all the winners of their decades.

I'm telling you, this thread could go down as the thread of the year. Yes, THE T.O.T.Y.!
