Signing Scott doesn't really do anything to address San Jose's weaknesses, imo. They needed stronger leadership when it was on the line and some of their leaders/best players didn't seem to be showing up like they should have. Adding a headhunter isn't likely going to help.

Say what you want to about Scott, but from what I'm reading, he seems like a great teammate. The guy's just doing his job out on the ice to earn a paycheck, I wouldn't take it personally.

I don't think he's in Albany. He was in Albany back in 12-13. He may be in europe somewhere or perhaps, retired imo.

Long time lurker, just registered today because... I have no idea, actually. Kings fan since '81. Whee!

Anyhow, my 2 cents is that there's no reason to worry about John Scott. If it looks like he's spending all of opening night taking runs at Kings players, let our powerplay do the talking for us. Would be nice to win a banner raising game given how we played against Chicago in 2013's opener.
