Should the Kings answer the John Scott (SJ) signing?

The headline of the SI article about this signing is hilarious:

"Sharks descend into madness, sign enforcer John Scott":laugh:

It's officially safe to say the Sharks are desperate to move on from that 2014 Round 1 choke job, to the point the they're embracing the distorted notion "goonery equates to defense" when the truth is otherwise. :shakehead

Newsflash, San José: Los Angeles hasn't forgotten Joe Thornton's 2011 celebration at STAPLES Center.

John Scott signs with the San Jose Sharks, presumably to punch the other 17 skaters in the face if they blow another 3-0 lead.

What's all this revenge talk on Brown on the SJ boards? Should have gotten him during the playoffs. Just because their team doesn't stand up for each other, they had to wait for the season to be over so they can sign big foot. We have some guys on our team that are not really fighters; Greene, Richards, RR, VV, and even Williams, but if they have to send out a message they will. I have no clue what SJ is doing and I don't think Wilson does either. Sit back and watch them unravel.

Yes. Bring back Ivanans, Westgarth, and Zeiler. Best 4th line in the league!

How the hell are you not throwing all your money at Penner if your the Sharks?

I think we can safely say we have a consensus on this one.

at 64 to 2, totally agree,

i guess as a child of the bench clearing brawls ('70s), it's hard to not revert back to the neanderthal period, especially when you are tempted by such a signing by SJ,

Note avatar.

And their fascination with Dustin Brown (first American born captain to hoist two Stanley Cups) is laughable. They're fanatical about the guy.

Burns is a good player and Scott is completely useless and a cone on the ice. Great signing Gold Fish err Sharks.

I personally don't know Scott's playing style but when I read he plays both Wing and D, that Iimmediately reminded me of Brett; the latter knows how to play both, just reading at Brett's scouting report.
