Should the Kings answer the John Scott (SJ) signing?

The "NO NO NO" gif from the Office or the confused Jaguar fan gif doesn't do that justice.

We need the return of the vomit one to describe bringing Luke Gazdic to the Kings.

And who cares about Ryan Reaves. The overreaction to him running around like an idiot vs. the Kings in the playoffs was hilarious. Supposedly his strong physical play would wear down the Kings over a 7 game series and the exact opposite happened both times we played them.

As long as we can avoid running into the Blues in a bar after the game we will be fine.

The Blues physicality was a big reason we were down a notch against San Jose and were forced to 7, and from there we were a shell against Chicago. Blues couldn't beat us, but we had to take a knee afterwards.

I don't buy that, and I really only hear it from this board. I've heard some excuses this way about why the Hawks lost to the Kings, but never anything about the series with the Blues.

The Kings and Sharks were a very even matchup as the teams have played back to back 7 game series. The 2013 Hawks were a significantly better team than the Kings, we had very little chance in that series.

I think the Kings were the best team in 2014, and would have beaten the Hawks whether they (the Hawks) played the Blues or not.

Oh I'm not saying we should have beat the Hawks, they were the better team. But we tapped out in 5 games, and I think a big reason for losing so meekly was the hurtin we received in Rounds 1 and 2. Injuries aren't an excuse, but they are an explanation.

I'm not referring to the Hawks or Blues from the 2014 playoffs at all. Different teams altogether from 2013. IMO both had regressed a bit.

I've read Calgary's Brian McGrattan was placed on waivers today. It might be a tad late, but maybe this could finally be the Kings response to San Jose's signing of Scott, as McGrattan could put some fight into the Kings slumbering lineup.

Wasn't he a Kings draft pick? Maybe he can take Richards' spot in the line up. Sounds like a great idea!

He sure was, back in '99. Kings opted not to sign him because of a knee injury. He can be in the lineup when the team is playing St. Louie (dang Reaves) and the likes.
