Listen everyone, contrary to popular belief Nashville's D depth is not good at all. If you want a defenseman unless you're going to give us an elite forward, you have to give back a D as well.

Some trades that can work:
Turris + Ceci for Ekholm and Wilson/Jarnkrok.
RNH + Davidson for Ellis, Wilson/Jarnkrok, and one of Arvidsson or a 1st round pick.

If Colin White signs next year and is able to step into a top six role while thriving, I wouldn't be opposed to moving Brassard/Turris especially if we lose Methot in the expansion draft. I'd be open to a Turris/Ekholm deal. Gives you guys a high-end 2C or low-end 1C and allows us to soften the Methot blow. This is full of hypothetical situations and wouldn't be a solution for Nashville now. It's just a potential scenario which could play out next year.

Plekanec is a 55 point player. He's been that throughout his career. Pleks for Subban :nod::nod::nod:

Bozak could likely be had for cheap - like a 2nd.

Kadri would be the better for but I doubt Leafs management has much interest in flipping him so soon after inking him to that new contract

Tyler Bozak has a 0.62 PTS/gm average over 437 career NHL games, good for an average of nearly 51 points per 81 games.

Why do people try to argue semantics on things like this?

We once had a player score 5 points in 2 games and then he had a career ending injury . I guess he is consider a 205 point per season player ?

We need Ekholm more than we need a 2c.

Make a bid for Desharnais.

Neither Kadri nor Bozak has surpassed a 50 point season. DD has done so...twice, once a 60 point season.

Plus, DD probably could be had at a much more reasonable cost than other 55 point players. Or those with lesser production...like Bozak or Kadri.

Matt Stajan for Dante Fabbro or Rem Pitlick?

55 points? Check. He's had 55 and 57 point seasons. Unlike Kadri and Bozak.
Already 2 points in 4 games and +3 this season? Check.
Also 60% on the dot just like Kadri.

Stajan has 69Pts in his last 202 GP... Bozak and Kadri are both 2x the players Stajan is at this point.... To ask for anything more than like a 5th is hilarious :help:

This is an absurd time to be looking for a 2C. This should have been addressed in the offseason, it was not so you might as well get used to what you have there unless you want to lose Ekholm.

Poile did not finish his job last summer I said it in July. He did not address the 2C the 2LW or the back-up goalie and the combination of these and Fiala not being able to put up top 6 numbers as a rookie will be the downfall of this team this year.
