Tyler Bozak didn't hit 50 points even once in his entire career even when playing first line with Kessel. What is up with you Toronto fans simply lying about your player stats?

Two 49 point seasons and you're chirping?? Move along. Wow

I wonder what it would take to get RNH from Edmonton? He's clearly not got a spot as top six centre there anymore with drai and mcdavid.

With klefbom, larsson, sekera, nurse and not Russell does the oil still want defense?? Because I think this is a pretty good top five.
And oilers don't really need top six outside of a winger maybe???

As both a Preds and Leafs fan, I maintain that Bozak is exactly what they need.

I agree, it comes down to if its a small deal or part of a bigger deal. I could see him going for a young G prospect, or for a good D prospect.

Only thing holding him back from being traded is current circumstances.

1) Leafs dont need to move him, if they do who replaces him in the lineup. He is a seasoned player who seems to follow the coachs orders.

2) They will probably be able to get more at the TDL.

I know it sounds like a lot, but the D Dougherty or G Soros would be my ask, with lesser G or D going back the other way to help the AHL team.

Bozak would be a good fit and cheaper than Kadri.
The piece coming back would have to be something that helps the Leafs going forward because their forward group would be pretty unseasoned without Bozak in it.

Nylander moves to playing center if Bozak is moved, opening up a roster spot for Soshnikov in the long term, and Griffith in the short term.

No idea what the proper return for Bozak would be, I'd be fine with almost anything. I don't think he fits into the long term plan for the team.

55pts would be among the best 2nd liners in the NHL. That's basically a Brassard/Turris/RNH level player. Be ready to penny up.

Our 3rd pairing defense is bad enough. Do we really want to deplete our D corps further by trading one for a 2nd pair center, especially with Kamenev quickly gaining experience in Milwaukee?

Not a Nashville fan--just an outsider.

TB fan. Namestnikov would be cheap(ish). We'd want the equivalent of a low 1st for him. Or a contributing player on an ELC.

I think it definitely depends what Nashville would be willing to pay. Kadri would be more of a sure thing, but more expensive. Namestnikov would cost them barely anything, but he's at a point in his career where he could be hit or miss.

Vlad may be looking somewhat expendable thanks to Point's early performance but I'm still in no hurry to move him, and especially not cheaply. He gives us valuable depth in the case of injury or a deadline trade, and if he's not part of our longterm plans I'd rather try to package him with Flip or Cally to avoid a buyout/retention - we'd get more value from him that way than we would with a low 1st or a bottom six grinder as it would potentially allow us to keep our entire top six intact. I agree that he needs a consistent spot in the lineup to reach his full potential but too much depth is a nice problem to have and unless the return really helps us I don't see the point in moving him just to move him.

We need a nice middle six player that can play centre and RW(possibly Caggiula), or a 3rd line RW. Long term we're probably gonna need a top 4 PP D, but we'd probably wait until after expansion for that.

I don't think it's doing anyone, him or us, any good to be using him in a bottom-six role long-term. I doubt he has enough value to help us get either of our bad contracts off the books. Maaaaybe Filppula, IF Filppula continues to look rejuvenated.

I've never felt like Namestnikov has a long-term spot on our team. Too many good centers ahead of him, too many good centers behind him. He's just always seemed like the odd man out. I'd like to get an asset for him before he gets a reputation as a bottom-six skill guy. He can be more than that, but not with us.

The post you're quoting clearly states "or at a 50pt pace". Even if he did misrepresent stats(which he didn't) I'd avoid blanket statements about fans of other franchises.

Anyway, Bozak and Kadri are both solid options. I could see RNH working but I'm sure he would carry a larger price tag then those two based upon his higher upside.

This doesn't really make much sense, sure it would be nice to upgrade over Riberio, but the price it would take just to get someone like Bozak would be too expensive for us, unless the Leafs want a 2nd+ a B-grade prospect.

Top four defense is off limits, so are Saros, Kamenev, and Fiala. We really don't have much to offer without overpaying or underpaying. Unless Poile wants to start throwing away 1sts again, but look how that's panned out; Witt, Franson + Santorelli, etc.
