Can you get a people stretcher and get him over 6'1? I can not see a team Fielding Spooner, Fiala, Jarnkrok, Arviddson. The Preds have enough shorty guys on the roster now one more is too much unless the guys name is Mats Zuccarello.

We have spooner, marchy, pasta(thug), czarnik and vatrano who are smaller players as well, not a huge detriment in the league anymore.

I wonder if something like Trochek for Ekholm would work. I think Florida has the lineup and pipeline to be able to part with with Trochek

Ekholm

Matheson
Pysyk
Petrovic

is a cup caliber defense IMO

Trochek would be everything NSH is looking for too regarding the OP. Once Bjugstad gets back they can slot him back at 2C

33 year old center for 26 year old defenseman signed cheap for several years is just not happening. No add that you would find reasonable is going to change that.

We can't move any of our top four without a replacement coming back. I don't think I'd do Ekholm for Trochek 1-1.
