Well whaddaya know. KC NOT bailed out by the refs at the end there. That said, holy shit was that non-PI egregiously bad. Like "someone should get fired" levels of bad.

Also don't like that KC is going to be pissed off next week.
Brad Allen and crew is among the worst of a very, very, bad group of nfl officials.

I fully expect to have to beat KC on the field by two scores to make up for bad officiating next week (again)

I also don't love that KC has seemed to find a little bit on offense the part couple of weeks. Yeah, only 19 points tonight but Green Bay was really able to keep the ball away from them with a lot of long drives.

Once again we have to travel to KC. Since 2015 this will be the 8th time that we've faced them ( including playoffs) . They've only been to Buffalo once in that time frame ( 2020 regular season) . This will be the 6th regular season game in that period and once again on the road. How very annoying.

Looks like Lawrence just royally effed up his right knee/leg/ankle.

Got his ankle stepped on at a bad angle, then got bent backwards over that same leg. Tried to get up, couldn't......threw helmet.

Does not look good.

The AFC is almost going to be a last man standing situation with all the QB injuries. Feel horrible for Lawrence. I thought it was just his ankle at first but he really got the entire leg put through the ringer with how he went down

On my list of expected annoyances for the game:
1. Mahomes escaping pressure/contain and running 1 MPH faster than the guy chasing him to convert third downs
2. KC getting at least 2 (probably 3) drives extended by ticky-tack defensive holding calls against the Bills while their DBs are allowed to grab fistfuls of jersey and hit WRs before the ball arrives
3. Kelce somehow getting wide open for 15-20 yard receptions in the dead center of the field

For what it's worth, I believe that this is something of a pre-arranged agreement and that the Chiefs played multiple games in Buffalo from 2014-2018 or that they will play those games in Buffalo in the next few years.

The other thing to consider is that we both happened to be at the top of our respective divisions. But yes, I understand, it's annoying.

I can't wait to hear the unbiased opinions about the refs being out to get Buffalo. It's about as fun as an old GBU Sabres thread where every loss was partially the fault of the refs.

Cards with Murray will punch above their weight even if he’s low-key frauded. I’m thinking that Browning gets a rhythm where he just lets the receivers do the work by that point. Pats won’t beat anyone except maybe the jets lol

There's no guarantee kc comes here except for the next time the entire afc east plays the entire afc west. Our floaters against the AFC West the next couple of years WILL be here, but we have to finish in the same spot in the standings for it to be KC

In sum: 2024 and 2025 afc east vs afc west floater game will be at Buffalo.
2026 KC comes here.
2027 and 2028 afc east vs afc west floater game will be in the AFC West teams stadium
2029 we go to KC

Cycle and repeat.

I mean they could win out.. not getting my hopes up though.
I still wouldn't have a lot of hope for the playoffs. Barring another all time heater from Allen and McDermott actually having learned some lessons, Div round feels like this years ceiling.

Who knows, I'm usually wrong so, maybe my genuine disappointment will spur them on (yes @ValJamesDuex I know superstition isn't real  )

The Bills drop to 11th in the AFC with the Bengals win. Tied with them and Denver at 6-6. Head to head losses to both is yikes! Gotta win out!
I don't think Cincy's gonna close 4-1 with their schedule.... and if they do it very easily could mean both Cleveland and Pittsburgh dropped to 9-8. (CIN plays both of them AND KC.)

I'm honestly happy Browning looks competitive. Still play the Colts too.

I still think we're 50-50 at 10-7

I would give there chances about 5% right now making it after Cinci winning last night, likely to go less after KC. Whats the A.I. say ?

Random mock draft here (give it no notice, another undersized DL), seeing Coleman get into the top 10 though is depressing. At least we jump Cinci now who will likely need two wideouts.

Coleman is not the type of WR that the Bills need with this writeup in PFF's most recent mock:

14. BUFFALO BILLS: WR KEON COLEMAN, FLORIDA STATE

Coleman is alluring because of his physical dominance. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, he brings both power and speed to the position as an “X” receiver. Because of this, he has some of the best highlight contested catches in college football this year — although he hauled in only 10 of his 30 contested targets. However, if your flavor of wide receiver is based on separation skills, he’ll be lower in your rankings. He ranks in the last percentile this year for separation created in single coverage.

Coleman looks like a 1st round version of Gabe Davis.

The Bills need a more well-rounded WR if they take one in the first two rounds. Essentially, they need a guy that is WR2 as a rookie and is the long term replacement for Diggs at WR1 down the road.

Tua and Burrow are system quarterbacks. Teams have created a new model. Get elite weapons everywhere and get an accurate average/slightly above average QB. Rather than the super star. I’m starting to like their model more.

What does this team look like if Browning was their QB?

When that model wins more than one super bowl a decade, I'll like it.

I don't see that comp at all.

I really, really, really doubt that any of the top 4 WRs (who IMO all have legit #1 WR talent/ceiling) get to us unless we lose out or lose 4 of 5.
Right now the Bills are sitting with the 14th pick.

You never know how a certain position group will go on draft day.

Few thought JSN would fall as much as he did on draft day, for instance.

I don't see that comp at all.
A guy that is not an elite separator and isn't great on contested ball situations is similar to Gabe Davis.
