I don't know. We will see what happens if those quotes attributed to her are legitimate.

Hopefully they separate and then divorce post Bills-contract. I don't think staying in an unhealthy relationship is worth it for any money in the world but if you have kids I can get the reasoning and making the sacrifice.
One of my stepmothers went on multiple rampages, my dad would always make up excuses and things would get worse the next time. Once I woke up to a bloody house, couldn't get my little step brother to wake up (I think she drugged him, he was an intense kid and sometimes he would just be out cold, probably because he annoyed her. I was completely knocked out myself once after she gave me some tea). Dragging him into the winter night was not an option since we lived in the middle of nowhere. Then she stormed into the house and started throwing things around, my dad then showed up with a couple of live chickens to "confuse and calm her down." Turns out drugged out maniacs aren't calmed by chickens so she ended up trying to stab him and then biting of a bit of his finger in the following struggle.
12 year old me went to my brothers room and barricaded it. I realized I would have to harden myself a lot during that night.

Even if people aren't that violent things tend to escalate with time and especially if drugs/alcohol are involved. I don't think half of 17 million or whatever is worth the risk of dying or becoming emotionally crippled. Now I don't have the full story and it could be a nothing-burger but the story seems way too familiar. Victims of domestic violence tend to have some sort of twisted logic of "I did thing x so of course they do y." With thing x being misplacing the remote controller and y grabbing someone by the throat.

If it would end up being a situation where Bills can get out of Von Millers contract I hope they make a separate arrangement with the woman and set up a fund for the kid(s).

Denver outsmarted themselves taking the TD for granted today. Ran full play clocks off of the clock twice inside the two minute warning. Ended up calling their last timeout after a 4th down conversion putting the ball at the 7 with 23 wins left.

But the result was they took the run completely out of the playbook, and Wilson had to throw a desperation pass rather than take a sack on 3rd down. Picked off, game over.

There was no reason for the Broncos to be under that kind of time pressure. Running one 40 second off the clock was fine. Running it all the way down the second time with the ball barely inside the 20 was beyond stupid.

McDermott school of time management? Too soon?

I know they won’t fire him but man..there have been legitimate questions about McDermott in big games and this season should cost him his job. He can’t even coach well in the medium ones.

Wanting to take over the D on top of his struggles at HC Should come at a cost when it fails as spectacularly as he has.

The Patriots have been held to 7 points or less 5 times and 2 shutouts......Bills gave up 29 to their sorry offense.

This isn't directed at you personally, but I find it pretty rich that the only post that wanted McD and co. to go fast on the go ahead touchdown drive (to either leave time for a rebuttal drive or a 2nd attempt if the 1st one didn't end in a TD) was mine. There were multiple other posts that wanted him to go as slow as possible to milk all of the clock - which is what he did. There was just too much time left (plus Philly timeouts) to do so successfully. And it's those same posters - who wanted him to do exactly what he did on the TD drive - who yell about bad clock management.

Regardless, running the clock down on your go ahead drive like Payton did is something entirely different from worrying about one or two drives in the future. If Philly doesn't make a miracle 59 yarder in bad weather, the whole conversation's moot.

What Payton did is also something fans whose entire football knowledge springs from Madden scream at their coaches to do ALL the time, even though it's awful strategy in real life. In real life completely taking the run out of the playbook (and putting yourself in a situation where a sack = loss) directly effects your chances for success when you're down inside the 10.

Rams winning at halftime
Steelers and Broncos lose
Titans piss away the game against the Colts

All in and all it has been a very mixed day for us.

I'll take 2 out of 3 good results if the Rams hang on (one of the Broncos/Texans had to win so that's a wash).

The Titans blowing it certainly was frustrating, especially since the Colts have the Steelers and Texans left on the schedule.

I'm glad LA (Rams) beat Cleveland, Arizona beat Pittsburgh, Atlanta beat New York (Jets) and Houston beat Denver.

Not thrilled LA (Chargers) beat New England, Miami beat Washington and Indianapolis beat Tennessee. But of those games, only Miami and and Indianapolis winning were of consequence.

So, overall, not a bad week for the Bills. Now just beat KC... they're on a short week, and Buffalo's had an extra week to prepare. Just. Win.

Kc plays tonight, not tomorrow. Not really a short week for them.

I just looked at the schedule, too. Must have saw 8:00 PM and just assumed it was a Monday night game.

Speaking of which, how in the ass did TEN/MIA and NYG/GB land on Monday night, while BUF/KC land in the 4:00 PM slot? PHI/DAL was always going to be primtetime, so that makes sense. But with two premium time slots available, you're leaving Mahomes and Allen out?

CBS probably protected it.

I think CBS/FOX do have the ability to request a limited number of marquee matchups for their 4:25 national games over the course of the year. Not sure exactly how the selection process goes (how many they can request, where in the pecking order between SNF/MNF they fall, etc.), but it's possible they simply lucked out and it was available? I know that's how CBS got the KC/Buffalo game last year.

I actually know the answer to this one. Each network gets to "protect" a game and have it as a nationally broadcast game. FOX chose SF-Phi. CBS chose BUF-KC

Pretty sure they each get to protect 1 game and they get first dibs.
