farabee's coach was basically giroux and couturier dont get it twisted. Sanheim learned to play in the NHL with some of the words defensemen in the league, and THRIVED. Imagine we had sanheim play with Niskanen during that year it would have been fantastic.

Laughton isn't a talented player, he is simply not shit. Hart's goalie coach is still the same one from before he was on the flyers im pretty sure. Couturier was so talented that he improved DESPITE this organization wasting the first half of his career. We have been talking about Konecny taking the "next step" for his entire career.

Brink and Zamula??? Theyre rookies! They have hardly ANY flyer influence, except Zamula has been rotting in lehigh and never really took the next step we hoped he would.

The flyers organization is a blackhole for talent.

I'm far less (read also: not) concerned about the immune system of Michkov than this

That's my viewpoint. The amount of raw talent that has entered the system vs the amount of impactful NHLers that have left it is pretty pathetic.

I feel like the worst kind of conspiracy theorist when I indulge this line of thought, but three things we know Putin loves are hockey, the Soviet Union, and holding grudges, so I could absolutely see him treating the Flyers differently than, say, the Sharks.

As long as Bobby Clarke and the other Broad Street Bellies are connected to this team...I can see Putin holding a grudge against the Flyers from back in the day when he Clarke or they the bellies deliberately injured or attempted to injure Soviet players

So once again..Clarke and his cabal are a detriment to this team.

Edit: this view is mainly in jest since Putin has more on his mind than the Flyers and Michkov but why run the risk....banish Clarke and the geriatric consensus committee to the freezing part of Siberia.

Mister Evil Himself or President of Russia(actual one model) don’t care about flyers. If he has some resentment with Philadelphia, it’s only because of Rocky.

What if we loan Clarke to Sochi for Michkov. It's an overpay to send a 2x Stanley Cup winner for some 19 year old snot, but we are desperate.
