I will
And now he just got a powerplay assist.

I'm kindly asking for one more point today, I won't get greedier than that.
I will.

This game has a nasty edge to it. A blindside hit, a fight, some scuffles. Just what this league needs.

This is his 3rd game in a row trying one of these.

Coach is clearly letting him go at it. Michkov will finish one soon.
Sochi's coach always let's him do it and has since last season. The reason he doesn't attempt it every game is most opposing teams have actively tried to prevent it. Every KHL team is fully aware how automatic Michkov is at this. His highlight reels are littered with him doing this at every single level. KHL teams take the threat of him scoring a Michigan goal seriously. If NHL teams do not take him scoring the Michigan seriously he will score multiple of them when he comes over. I am not sure there has been a player as automatic at pulling off Michigans as Michkov. I personally think he should give aiming low a try. Maybe far side post low or even try to whip off the ice and take a bounce shot. Really take advantage of the unique skill you know? Get creative with it. Once it is on the blade everyone expects top near side corner. Some people call it the "lacrosse goal" maybe add dash more lacrosse in there and mix it up if possible

I couldn't agree more. Part of making the save is for the goalie to cheat a bit and instinctively block the top corner.

Go low and put it in the goalie's pads. Either it is a goal, or worst case scenario there will be a loose puck in the crease with the goalie recovering.

theres a video of michkov practicing michigans on a goalie and as soon as the goalie moves to cover the far post he does a quick cut back and comes back out the open side where the net is wide open and the goalies still looking for him on the other side lol

I think he'll try various tricks as he gets more comfortable in the league. This is from MHL 2022, final series
Game 2

Game 6, also cup-winner

"In the KHL, there's lots of looping and swinging, and speed. I already know a couple of things that we're going to have to work on with Michkov to get him ready to play the North American style of game" - Armstrong

"[Lyksell] wants to play a possession game and turn back with the puck at times. It was a habit that he had to break" - Flahr
